Patients with CRP level >6 mg/L showed a trend for increased DKK-1 level, but mean DKK-1 level was still higher for patients with normal than increased CRP level (28.7 ± 13.9 vs 26.5 ± 11.7 pmol/L; P trend = 0.06) ( Fig. 3 ).

Additionally, the computational cost associated to such analysis may be significant.

This may be significant for the magnetoelectric effect 47 but the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) exchange interaction strength is found to be weak and its contribution to T N is very negligible for LFPO 44 48 .

However, if the differences among WT, P2X 2 −/− and P2X 3 −/− mice are as considerably significant as reported by Cockayne et al. , we should detect significant differences even using our small sample size.

The female subjects also showed a trend towards increased fat percentage and decreased SMM with aging.

Results Test 1: Chromatic background matching in free-ranging lizards The GLM reported a highly significant difference in chromatic background matching (JND) of P. erhardii backs between comparisons with chosen backgrounds and other lizards’ backgrounds on the same island, as perceived by avian predators (F 1,255 = 166.418, P < 0.001; Fig. 2 ).

At the segmented-leaf scale, leaf wax δD n -alkane values in Hierochloe glabra (a monocot) showed an increasing trend from base to the tip along the blade by 30‰ ( Fig. 2b , Supplementary Table S3 ), similar to a previous result obtained from three tall grasses ( Miscanthus sinensis , a monocot) 35 .

We found that both HIRZ and ROA showed a trend towards down regulation in crowding but this trend was not significant (HIRZ P = 0.513; ROA P = 0.465) ( Fig. 2 ).

Here, we demonstrated for the first time that the differentiation potential of MSCs was preserved even after exposure to high doses of cisplatin, and we did not find a general dose-dependent reduction of the differentiation capabilities: While the adipogenic differentiation was found to be reduced at least after treatment with high doses of cisplatin, MSCs showed a trend towards increased osteogenic differentiation after cisplatin treatment.

It is apparent that γ < 2 with a clear trend in which γ approaches 0.2 as the system approaches the exponentially localized state.

(c) Decadal trend in Ozone concentration During boreal winter months we observe an increasing decadal trend (2 to 3 DU/decade) over the outer tropical central Pacific and a decreasing trend (−9 to −10 DU/decade) over the midlatitudes (30–45°N) in total columnar ozone measurements from Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS, 1983–2012, Fig. 4a ).

The osteoporosis cases have a similar behavior but there is a slight trend towards lower strains (generally representing susceptibility to fracture).

Figure 3 shows a clear trend of increasing diffusion with decreasing organic molar mass, which also supports the aforementioned diffusion by high kinetic energy model.

But for the female biased genes, only a few diseases were barely significantly enriched (OCD, schizophrenia, epilepsy and AD) ( Fig. 6B ).

A strong trend was observed between the Early TX and Late TX groups, with the Late TX tumors having a higher accumulation of F4/80 positive cells.
