When patients were dichotomized by averaged expression values of SPARC and SPP1 , the association between the two genes and OS was highly significant (P = 0.0007, by log-rank test), strongly suggesting that the prognostic association of the two genes in EAC is synergistic ( Figure 4C ).
A highly significant excess ( p = 0.0007) of DM1 patients presented with cTnI levels greater than the 99 th centile of the range usually observed in the general population (9 patients; 7.6%).
After accounting for the effect of network size on N (type-2 regression: N = 0.59+0.077*logSize, F 1,57 = 9.98, P<0.0025), differences between network types were highly significant (F 2,56 = 8.21, P<0.0007) and pair-wise comparisons discriminated comensalistic networks from antagonistic and mutualistic ones (Scheffé-test: P<0.0009 and P<0.029, respectively), which differed marginally between themselves (P>0.052).
When applying the CV mortality results in univariate Cox regressions, we observed a highly significant risk reduction resulting from supplementing the participants with selenium and coenzyme Q10 for four years, also after 12 years (HR:0.58; 95%CI: 0.42–0.79; P<0.0007).
Functional group richness had a highly significant negative relationships with latitude (P = 0.0007, R 2 = 0.7101, F = 25.49, df = 9).
In our study, rs41409056 in SLCO1B1 locus, showed marginal significance with p -value = 0.0007376.
The difference was found to be highly significant (p = 7.6600e-04), and MiF outperformed the other graph similarity coefficients.
While rs2555639 was the only SNP that was significantly associated with risk of colon cancer in each of the discovery and validation sets independently, several additional SNPs had highly significant association with risk when combining data from the discovery and validation samples ( Table 5 ), including rs1365611 (OR = 1.73, 95%CI:1.26–2.37, p = 0.0008), rs6844282 (OR = 1.42, 95%CI:1.10–1.83, p = 0.0078), and rs2332897 (OR = 1.74, 95%CI:1.27–2.38, p = 0.0006).
The association was strengthened by a positive Trend test for mild, moderate and severe asthma (Mild OR 1.0; Moderate OR 1.42. 95%CI 1.16, 1.74; Severe OR 2.01, 95%CI 1.64, 2.46; p = 0.0008).
Another clone (5B3, from pool F, Mm8 Chr16: 91155139–91157882), containing an insert located 57 kb downstream of 5A5, similarly induced expression in the trigeminal ganglion ( Figure 2 ), although in this case the penetrance of the phenotype was lower (41%, n = 22), albeit highly significant (p = 8×10 −4 ).
Indeed, with the D 2 O method, milk production was 34% lower in LP dams, compared with control dams (P = 0.016) whereas the difference failed to reach statistical significance with the WSW method, except at PND 14 (P = 0.0008) during the peak of lactation.
The coefficient for PC1 is positive β ^ PC1 = 1.00 and highly significant ( p = .0008).
The 6 months results of HRQoL, sleepiness, depression, cognition, disability and walking speed were all highly significant (p<0.0008–0.0001) and consistent with the results at 12 months (data not shown).
In single-SNP analyses, two of the 13 SNPs showed nominally significant associations with wet AMD (rs2241394, nominal P = 8.32×10 −4 ; rs428453, nominal P = 0.0240), of which only rs2241394 withstood multiple test corrections (corrected empirical P = 0.0102; Bonferroni-corrected P = 0.0108, Table 2 ).
In contrast, variation in YFMI was highly significant (One-way ANOVA F (3, 32) = 7.109, p = 8.6 × 10 −4 ).
The number of men is also too large compared to women for normal mortality (highly significant difference with p = 0.0008958; chi-squared test, also written as χ2 test = 11.031).
Spearman non-parametric analysis found highly significant positive correlations with several analytes, including IFN-γ ( r = 0.57, p = 0.0009), GATA-3 ( r = 0.51, p = 0.004), CTLA-4 ( r = 0.48; p = 0.006), FOXP3 ( r = 0.37, p = 0.04), and an inverse correlation with CCL2 ( r = −0.62, p = 0.0003) (data not shown).
