Moreover, a borderline association was found for respiratory rate as a risk factor for death/intubation (OR for unit increase = 1.07, 95%CI = 1.02–1.17, p = 0.01), while an increase of PaO 2 /FiO 2 had a trend towards significance as a protective factor for the composite outcome (OR for unit increase = 1, 95%CI = 0.98–0.99, p = 0.003).
The Spearman’s correlation test for association between annual PTH rates and time (year) performed for the adult age group showed a statistically significant, mild to strongly positive correlation, indicating an increasing trend of adult PTH rates over time (year) (Rs = 0.64 [95% CI: 0.28 to 0.84], P = 0.003).
The prevalence of serotypes 1, 5 and 7F, included in the 10-valent PCV (PCV10) but not in the PCV7, was low (equal to or under 4% for each serotype); however, when considered all together, these serotypes showed an increasing trend over the study period (p for trend p = 0.003).
Stratifying females by obesity status, a significant trend across CRF quartiles for PCS was observed for both obese (p = 0.003) and non-obese (p = 0.001) groups after adjusting for potential covariates.
Finally, at 30 degrees to the right, surprised faces were recognized significantly better than disgusted faces ( t (13) = 4.53, p = .0006; d = 1.21; Mean Surprised = 0.61, Mean Disgusted = -.03) while a strong trend was present for happy faces to be better recognized than disgusted faces which did not survive correction ( t (13) = 3.64, p = .003; d = .97; Mean Happy = 0.71, Mean Disgusted = -.03).
A two-way ANOVA of blastocyst number for the period May to October, showed a highly significant increase in blastocyst numbers with time (P = 0.003), but no effect of age on blastocyst numbers (P = 0.485) and no interaction between age and month (P = 0.560) ( Table 3 ).
However, there was a highly significant three-way interaction between the factors ‘condition x column x optic radiation integrity’ (F(9, 207) = 2.847, p = .003).
Amongst black patients, plaque prevalence was 36.7% and the area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was not associated with plaque presence for the MDRD equation (p = 0.3), whereas the respective relationship was significant or borderline significant (p = 0.003 to 0.08) and of similar extent (p>0.1 for comparisons of AUC (SE)) for the other 8 equations.
ANOVA on MEPi recorded with the lower TMS intensity (120% rMT) revealed a significant main effect of Space ( F 1,11 = 5.81, p <.04) and Time ( F 3,33 = 5.05, p <.01) and most importantly, a highly significant Space × Delay interaction ( F 3,33 = 7.56, p <.003; see Figure 2A ).
The increase was highly significant (from 40% to 80%) for G. mellonella ( P = 0.003), but not statistically significant (from 20% to 30%) for A. orientalis ( P = 0.552).
This relationship was highly significant in patients with a disease duration of less than 5 years (n = 19, p = 0.003) and in patients treated with IFN-β for less than two years (n = 21, p = 0.004) ( Figure 2 ).
In the phonemic condition, the independent contribution of Education only approached significance, while the influence of Computer-use persisted [t(176) = 3.04, p < 0.003].
Correlation analyses As can be seen in Figure 4A , there was a highly significant positive linear relationship between the attention effect in left SI and left SII, r = .64, p = .003.
Correlation between Nitric Oxide and Inflammatory Serum/blood Parameters Our data reveal a highly significant negative correlation (Spearman’s correlation coefficient rho = −0.41, p = 0.003) between nasal NO and leucocytes in blood.
Multivariate RDA analysis showed highly significant differences in microbiota composition at a phylum level ( P = 0.003) between the 4 groups with no significant difference by Salmonella ( P = 0.263) but with a significant effect of OA blend as a factor ( P = 0.014).
Relative to the baseline summer season, the winter, spring, and fall season regression terms were all found to be highly significant ( P = 0.003, P = 0.0004, P = 0.001, respectively), indicating that season has a significant impact on the number of weekly diagnostic submissions.
Moreover, a significant trend (p = 0.003) in fluconazole use during the whole time period considered emerged, particularly in the ICU (p = 0.017), but also in the general medicine wards (p = 0.03).
The Shapiro-Wilk’s statistics was applied in order to test scalar variables for the normal distribution and variables that showed distributions significantly different from the normal value were transformed before analysis according to the formula log (x + k) since all of them had highly significant positive skewness coefficients (P≤0.003) at the z-test.
