When comparing the younger (6–9 years) to the older (10–12 years) children, a significant trend towards a reduction in overweight including obesity could be seen in the younger, but not the older, children (OR = 0.984 (0.972–0.996) for 6–9 year old children and OR = 0.991 (0.977–1.005) for 10–12 year old children).
Changes in Nodules: Multivariate Analyses At the multivariate log-linear robust Poisson regression analysis, as reported in Table 2 , HS phenotype (F = 5.33, p = 0.001), family history of HS (F = 9.31, p = 0.004) and the Hurley score (F = 8.07, p = 0.007) resulted predictors of changes in nodules, whereas disease duration (F = 2.01, p = 0.163) and change in weight (F = 1.78, p = 0.189) were borderline significant.
During the 1960s, apparent sugar intake increased considerably by 8.13% per year (from 26.69 g/day/person in 1961 to 40.66 g/day/person in 1968) followed by a sharp significant decrease( p = 0.001)up until the early-1970s by as much as 9.26% per year ( Table 2 ), and within a very short span with a decreasing trend, the apparent intake was back to the level that occurred in the early-1960s ( Figure 3 B).
The fact that both RCTs enrolled large numbers of participants meant that they could obtain results for various subgroups, and, indeed, both papers reported that subgroups had significant or nearly significant reductions in disease outcomes from vitamin D supplementation, as shown in Table 1 .
