The growth of HCT116 xenograft tumours was somewhat sensitive to dietary serine and glycine restriction (as previously shown 7 ) and also showed a trend to a decrease in mice treated with PH755 (Fig. 7c ), consistent with a previous report showing an effect of PH755 on HCT116 tumour growth 24 .

The group receiving 50 μg RBD-SpyVLP showed a trend of slightly higher antibody response than the other two groups until the day of boost (day 28) (Fig. 4a ).

We therefore hypothesized albumin adsorption would have the greatest effect on the rate of Phos PS uptake by MΦ, since the highly significant reductions in Phos PS negative charge (Fig. 3d ) should decrease electrostatic repulsion with the negatively charged cell surface.

While albumin adsorption did modulate the MΦ uptake of neutral OH PS and MeO PS, a clear trend for electrostatic changes in mediating these effects was not established.

We found a highly significant degree of overlapping gene-to-tumor associations involving predicted fusions using RNA-seq chimeric reads, gene overexpression, and SSVs breakpoint falling within the boundary of a gene (Supplementary Fig. 4a ).

The expression of Numb showed a trend towards higher levels in Ltbr −/− HSCs compared to Ly5.1 HSCs (Supplementary Fig. 5 ).

Strikingly, serum IL-1β levels were significantly increased in mice exposed to fructose, and an increasing trend of IL-6 and TNF was observed (Fig. 7I ).

This unsupervised analysis revealed a highly significant association of the SRSF2 P95H mutation with the leukemic and pre-leukemic sub-clones (Supplementary Fig. 6b, c ).

Our data showed a trend that csf1 -knockout females have less preference for red males compared to the wild-type females (Fig. 4e ).

The PNA pattern has had a positive trend throughout the satellite era (i.e., since 1979; Fig. 1c ) and the spatial pattern of Arctic SIC change that is correlated with PNA change (Fig. 1b ) is very similar to the overall pattern of the SIC trends (Fig. 1a ), with the fastest sea-ice decline over the western Arctic (including the Beaufort, Chukchi and East Siberian seas).

We caution that these findings, while nominally significant, neglect plausible ancestry-differential COVID-19 infection incidence and/or ascertainment in our NYC cohort (which may strongly confound HLA frequency comparison), as well as intrinsic imprecision of diplotype inference from RNA data, linkage among class I HLA genes (and other major histocompatibility complex loci), and/or other sequence variation distinctive to specific subtypes of surveyed haplogroups.

This study revealed a strong trend of decreasing osmotic stability as cells progressed in vitro from majority basophilic and polychromatic normoblasts at day 9 (Lysis 50 73.8 ± 3.6) to a majority polychromatic and orthochromatic normoblast population at day 11 (Lysis 50 102.7 ± 15.6), and then further decreased as cells progressed through final orthochromatic normoblast maturation occurring between day 14 (Lysis 50 102.2 ± 2.0) day 17 (Lysis 50 126.2 ± 11.2), and day 20 (Lysis 50 143.4 ± 15.1) (Fig. 2d ).

Consistent with these data, A-PHLPP2 mice showed a trend towards lower RER (Supplementary Fig. 3f ).

Despite differences in genotyping methods, filtering, FDR controls, choice of covariates, and reference assemblies, all 15 loci were at least nominally significant in both tests, and 6 of 15 were identified as eSTRs/eVNTRs in both studies.

These eVNTRs had highly significant p values (Supplementary Fig.

However, xCT suppression also showed a trend toward sensitization for Auranofin (Supplementary Fig. 8h, i ).

Strikingly, there was a clear trend of several of these enzymes to be expressed at higher levels in non-NE SCLC cells explaining the elevated levels of ether-linked PUFAs detected.

We chose these trials because they were either positive trials 17 , 31 , 32 or had a subgroup that showed a trend towards a treatment response in previous publications 22 , 25 .

Despite integrating all these considerations in the GPS data processing, it is important to notice that the remaining noise may be significant, as it has been recently analyzed in great detail in Guerrero 27 .

Whereas even without treatment, the embryos carrying the transgene displayed precocious PGC death at both ES 10 and 13 as compared with corresponding WT embryos (presumably due to leakiness of the transgene minimal promoter), this trend became highly significant after the heat shock treatment (Supplementary Fig. 5c–g ).

It has been hypothesised previously in the literature that microplastic contamination of the base of the marine food web may be significant enough to disrupt the biological pump 20 – 24 (albeit with mechanisms different from what we demonstrate here).

Our model provides an excellent fit to the data (adjusted R 2 = 0.93) and shows that as expected both average income and Gini coefficient are highly significant drivers for poverty outcomes (see Section 8 of the SI for details).

In summary, SbBC showed a trend similar to global bilateral correlations, but with more pronounced changes over time (Fig. 1j, k ).
