In the spinal cord, however, after MOG 35–55 stimulation, although not statistically significant, there was a possible trend toward an increase in the IL-17A + and FoxP3 + CD4 + T cells infiltrating the spinal cord in Trp73 −/− mice, a nearly significant increase in the percentage of IFNγ-producing CD4 + cells, and increased CD25 expression (Fig. 6d ), consistent with p73 negatively regulating Il2ra expression (Figs. 3e and 5e ).
In TCGA, all the top 10 deleted genes displayed significantly reduced levels of expression, whereas seven out of the top ten amplified genes showed a trend of increase in expression (although not statistically significant) likely due to the small number of samples harboring gene amplifications in heterogenous pri-PCa cohort (Supplementary Fig. 11a ).
Two other neuroimaging phenotypes showed nominally significant effects on depression, including higher MD in the ATR for MR-Egger (tMD-ATR; β = 0.107, p for MR-Egger = 0.028, p FDR = 0.166; however, the Egger intercept was not significant, p FDR = 0.432, Supplementary Fig. 11 , Supplementary Data 6 and Supplementary Table 3 ) and ICVF in SLF (tICVF-SLF; β = −0.025, p = 0.030, p FDR = 0.179 for IVW).

As would be predicted if Erg, Ebf1 and Pax5 were components of a co-dependent gene regulatory network, this analysis showed a highly significant correlation in gene expression changes observed with Ebf1 or Pax5 deletion in pre–proB and proB cells and those observed with Erg deletion in pre–proB cells.
