In contrast, individual deletion of either Sulf1 or Sulf2 resulted in a highly significant increase in CC1 + Olig2 + oligodendrocyte density relative to wt (two-way ANOVA, main effects p < 0.05).

Our combined analysis across all race/ethnic-groups identified 32, 30, 75 and 55 nominally significant signals (at P < 0.05) out of 104, 122, 181 and 156 variants examined in association with FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio, and COPD, respectively (Supplementary Data 3 ).
We focused on the enriched cytokine/receptor interactions in severe-stage COVID-19 patients and selected the cytokine/receptor interactions associated with highly significant ( P value < 0.05) cell–cell interaction pairs in the severe stage compared to the remission stage and healthy individuals.
coli lysates expressing IsmA and SpiR revealed that SpiR generated a higher cholestenone signal, with a marginally significant difference ( U = 9.0, p = 0.05, Mann–Whitney U test).
The remaining seven associations were nominally significant in the meta-analysis ( β between −0.05 and −0.07, p < 0.05) (Supplementary Data 2 ).
To determine CNV enrichment, we only considered loci that were nominally significant between the comparative groups ( P < 0.05).
Effect estimates for most proteins remained consistent after adjustment for these factors, but standard errors increased such that only Nt-proBNP, CXCL13 and the complement factors remained significant at the Bonferroni-adjusted threshold (Table 2 ) although all proteins except IL-1RA and tPA remained nominally significant at p < 0.05.
Of the 75 SNPs found in whites, 34 (46%) were nominally significant at P < 0.05 in Japanese, with 18 at P < 0.0005.
Among these 38 genes, 13 replicated at a Bonferroni significance level (Logistic Regression p < 0.0013) with directions of effect consistent with the discovery findings in a cohort of unrelated, non-Hispanic white Kaiser Permanente health plan members (6653 PrCa cases, 30,121 controls), and an additional six were nominally significant ( p < 0.05; Table 1 ).
AEI values were significantly elevated in T21 compared to controls in the PFC ( p = 0.01, linear regression), and showed a marginal trend in the hippocampus ( p = 0.05) (Fig. 5B ).
Among female-specific fertility traits, LDSC identified nominally significant ( P < 0.05) r g between increased MPB severity and fewer number of live births ( r g = −0.06, SE = 0.02) and increased age of first birth ( r g = 0.04, SE = 0.02) (Table 1 ), suggesting shared genetic risk.
For all nominally significant associations ( p < 0.05), effect sizes were strongly correlated when using imputed vs.
Genes with nominally significant ( P < 0.05) estimates of SNP-heritability (cis- \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$h_g^2$$\end{document} h g 2 ), are then put forward for training predictive models.
Examining the 453 nominally significant ( p < 0.05) upregulated trans-eGenes, we found that they were significantly enriched for multiple pathways critical to mucin production and secretion, including IRE1-mediated unfolded protein response , protein N-linked glycosylation , and ER to Golgi vesicle mediated transport , Golgi subcompartment , as well as in marker genes of mucus secretory cells determined from single cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) data 30 (Fig. 4e , Supplementary Data 7 ).
Although in this study a lack of association due to the low frequency of the variants was observed for 1007finsC and G908R polymorphisms 32 , a strong trend ( p = 0.05) towards a reduced presence of the mutated R702W allele was observed in IA patients 32 .
Expression of two other genes, ALDH9A 1 and MGST3 , were also associated with NTG in neuron or neuron-like cells; however, these associations were nominally significant or had a HEIDI P < 0.05, likely depicting heterogeneity in the association; as per Supplementary Data 5 .
PyC did show an increasing trend with warming under eCO 2 (Fig. 1c ; p > 0.05) probably due to previous biomass burning and incorporation of residues before the SPRUCE experiment 49 .
Six of the 27 unconditional (22.2%), and 3 of the 13 conditional (23.1%) SNPs had nominally significant ( P <0.05) heterogeneity, much more than the 5% expected by chance ( Supplementary Dataset 1 , Supplementary Tables 1–3 ).
The PAT ratio for CAD was only 0.62, with the number of observed transferable loci (13%) lower than the expected number (21%), although this difference was only marginally significant (binomial p -value = 0.05; one-sided and not adjusted for the multiple comparisons).
Only the volumes of the caudate, corpus callosum and third ventricle achieved a heritability that was nominally significant in our sample (uncorrected P <0.05).
Interrogating our GWAS data set for candidate genes that have been previously proposed to be involved in pathogenesis of OM, we found 45 out of 82 genes demonstrated evidence of nominally significant association, with intragenic SNPs or nearby SNPs of P value<0.05; Supplementary Table 6 ), such as SMAD2, SMAD4, NELL1.
Resulting group-level oscillations were nominally significant (G-cosinor p < 0.05) in 5.9% to 85.8% of ROIs across seven of the nine MRI metrics (Supplementary Table 4 ).
Table 2 provides a list of the strongest associations identified across the entire data set, all highly significant (Bonferroni-corrected P <0.05).
Of note, we observed a borderline significant decrease in phosphorylated eIF2α levels in PKR KO animals (two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), genotype main effect P =0.05), suggesting that PKR indeed contributes to eIF2α phosphorylation status in adipose tissue, irrespective of dietary status ( Fig. 4h and Supplementary Fig. 4 ).
There was a marginally significant effect of group on absolute value rating difference (between-subjects Kruskal–Wallis test: H 3 =7.74, P= 0.05; Fig. 5a ).
