Consistent with an association between PLK1 expression and polyploidy, we observed a highly significant difference in levels of PLK1 expression in tumors which exhibited evidence of having undergone a genome doubling event during their evolution compared to their non-doubled counterparts (Fig. 8a , p = 4.62e-09, t -test).
Excerpts
a weak trendgold
There may be a weak trend with the longevity of the photochemical species 18 , with longer-lived ethane and propane showing the most similarity between the poles (ratios of 0.7–1.0) and the shorter-lived acetylene, diacetylene and methyl acetylene showing greater contrasts (0.2–0.6).
The gains follow an increasing trend at higher resolution, as the effects of Ewald curvature become more pronounced at higher electron scattering angles 30 .
Genes most enriched in ITGA4 + BMPR1B + cells compared to CD146 + pericytes included COL2A1, ACAN, COMP, SOX9 and other cartilage-specific genes that fall in the chondrocyte gene module (Supplementary Figure 5e ), representing a highly significant overlap.
It was more consistent in 134 intron retention events with highly significant reduction in SF3B1 -mutated primary samples ( q -value <1 × 10 −5 ; Supplementary Fig. 20 ).
Highly significant is the much larger distance between the chiral GNR building blocks inducing the bulk N*-LC helical arrangement with a spatially constant helical pitch compared to any other chiral additive reported to date.
However, an interesting trend in the response is observed with respect to the relative Molar quantities of PMA and LA in the sensor.
P335L revealed no significant phenotype in this assay, but showed a trend toward increased activity (Fig. 2d–g and Supplementary Fig.
In primates, we find a significant trend in U1 motif distribution around orthologous P/E elements similar to that detected in rodents (Fig. 4e ) but no difference in PAS density (Supplementary Fig. 9 ), probably due to the low sequence divergence between human and macaque and the resulting lack of power 36 .
Discussion We identified a highly significant association between a coding variant in the manganese transporter SLC39A8 and risk of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.
a strong trendgold
We observed a strong trend in the consistency between the DREBIC score-based ranking and the actual experimental data, suggesting that DREBIC captures the inherent biological response of various cancer cell lines (Fig. 4e ).
After adjustment for rs4268748, expression levels of CDK10 in non-sun-exposed skin and FANCA in LCLs retained borderline significance for association with cSCC, with nominal association P -values of 0.0026 and 0.0025, respectively (Table 2 and Supplementary Table 10 ).
Nevertheless, a prominent and highly significant density, positioned directly above the porphyrin in each protomer, is observed in a difference map between the two reconstructions (Fig. 4a ).
Gene ontology analysis of the differentially expressed genes between cells treated with vehicle or M1 revealed a highly significant enrichment of genes related to IFN signalling (Fig. 4a ), indicating that activation of IFN pathway inhibits the replication of M1 virus and differing responsiveness of IFN may be responsible for the susceptibility of OV M1.
Highly deregulated genes (black dots) appeared further to the left and right sides, while highly significant changes (color dots) appeared higher on the plot (Supplementary Figures 36 – 38 ).
The difference was highly significant (Supplementary Table 2 ) between the two groups under all three conditions, suggesting that RBS affinity towards the initiating ribosomes is a key determinant for TE.
Although we observed considerable variabilities in rejection ratio in some of sexual behavior assays using these mice, presumably due to viral injection surgery-associated stress, control groups in which saline was intraperitoneally injected before the assay still showed a trend of ESP22-induced increase of rejection ratio.
We found some evidence for larger seeds of invasive species in forests and the difference between invasive and native species in seed size was marginally significant in scrub vegetation.
PAD4 levels in lysates of human liver metastases showed a trend to be increased compared to the adjacent liver based on ELISA measurements and were significantly increased based on immunoblotting (Fig. 3a, b , Supplementary Fig. 6A, B).
Differentially methylated regions in CSS/NCBRS The identified probes in the three sets showed a trend towards co-occurrences within genes (Supplementary Data 1 – 3 ).
2d ) showed a trend similar to that of junctional Myosin-II and previously described tension distribution.
Re-expression of TRIM24 showed a trend in rescuing tumor growth but the change was not statistically significant.
We observed highly significant upregulation of TRIM28 mRNA in metastatic PCa as compared to benign and/or localized PCa in multiple microarray datasets 3 , 44 , 45 (Fig. 6a, b ).
The absence of an increasing trend in long-term positions may be seen as encouraging.
Introduction Production of alkenes from carboxylic acids through extrusion of the carboxyl group is a highly significant process 1 – 5 considering the easy availability of carboxylic acids 6 – 11 and the synthetic versatility of alkene products 12 .
