This difference in proportions is highly significant ( P < 4E-5, Fisher’s exact test, two-sided).
Excerpts
Further examination of the tumor tissue sections after anti-PD-1 therapy revealed the co-localization of mast cells and FOXP3 + Treg cells, which was consistently observed and highly significant ( p = 0.000047) when compared to control-treated tumors (Fig. 4e ) and this may be associated with downmodulation of HLA class I on tumor cells (Fig. 3g, h, f ).
Migraine showed modestly significant genetic correlations (Bonferroni-corrected P < 4.8 × 10 − 5 ) with chronic pain duration and susceptibility ( r g > |0.5 | ).
A highly significant ( p value < 0.00005) likelihood ratio test compared to a standard logistic model supported that the mixed-effects model was better fit for our data.
When GWAS was performed in the 113 11q-deletion cases and 282 controls (78 undeleted 11q and 204 MNA neuroblastomas, Methods) of European-American ancestry, the 11q22.2 locus was still nominally significant (rs10895322, P = 5.50 × 10 −5 , OR = 2.811, logistic regression test, Supplementary Table 6 ), indicating a unique and independent role of the 11q22.2 locus in the 11q deletion cases.
We observed highly significant excess of CD missense URVs in EE/DEE (Fig. 1a , P = 0.0000643, OR = 1.09), whereas there was no significant excess of the other missense/inframe URVs ( P = 0.0861, OR = 1.01).
The pooled difference between Sr6 positive and null plants at 18 °C was highly significant ( p = 0.000074), whereas no significant difference was observed at 25 °C ( p = 0.75) (Fig. 2B ).
Finally, we verified that 13 out of the 16 life-shortening alleles are depleted in older study participants of the UK Biobank ( P =0.0021) and five of them have nominally significant association with participant age ( P =8.09 × 10 −5 ).
Across 16 novel and replicable loci, we found that multi-ancestry SLE-only GWAS already yielded genome-wide significant P values in 3 loci and borderline significant P values for the remaining 13 loci (highest P value = 8.19 × 10 −5 ).
We observed a highly significant increase in adjusted R 2 with the addition of ICA2 to the model ( F (1,507)=15.6, P =8.8 × 10 −5 ).
controls (148 alleles out of 24,758 = 0.6%) was highly significant [ p -value = 9.2 × 10 −5 , threshold = 0.05/ N , N = 1, by Fisher’s exact test (24,610:148 vs. 648:14)], indicating that this relatively common variant has in fact an effect on retinal health.
Considering the set of GO terms that are highly significant in snRNA-seq (adjusted p -value < 0.0001), 42 out of 47 GO terms identified that were also significant in proteomics (adjusted p -value < 0.05) had the same direction of up/down-regulation.
This is a highly significant difference compared to metagenomes from individuals from other countries from which bacteroidetocin B was detected in 1.9–6% of metagenomes ( P < 0.0001).
2 ) independent hairpin sequences had the same effect, each showing a highly significant reduction in cell viability upon treatment with 1 μM PD0325901 compared with DMSO treatment (two-sided t -test, P <0.0001, Fig. 1f ).
Differences considered significant when p < 0.05 (*), very significant when p < 0.01 (**), highly significant when p < 0.001 (***), and extremely significant when p < 0.0001 (****).
rs35346340 is a significant FURIN eQTL in esophageal mucosa ( P = 2.0E-13) and a nominally significant eQTL of this gene in aortic artery ( P = 1.0E-04), and FURIN is highly expressed in both primary and immortalized cardiac fibroblasts.
A linear regression analysis showed a very good correlation ( R 2 = 0.924) between the HrOr263 hydrocarbon responses in the ab3A and ab2A neurons, which was highly significant ( p < 0.0001).
Individually, HiFiCas9 treatment had a highly significant impact on viability (F (1, 12) = 69.55, p < 0.0001), accounting for 72.96% of the total variance.
The difference between the two PD severity cohorts was highly significant ( p < 0.0001), indicating that APS is a more sensitive method than RRS or BWS ( p = 0.1896 and 0.0020, respectively; Fig. 1l ).
In replicated hydroponic experiments showing highly significant differences in seminal root length ( P < 0.0001) between 1RS and 1RW, we analyzed the aerial part of the plants.
Permutation tests (see the “Methods” section) indicated that observing 15 concordant features is statistically highly significant, exceeding all 10,000 random permutations ( p < 0.0001, Fig. 8b ).
Stretching resulted in a more moderate yet highly significant increase in γH2Ax-positive nuclei both in leiomyoma and myometrium cells (OR = 1.6 and P < 0.0001; Fig. 4d and Supplementary Fig. 12 ).
In addition, after stem abundance was accounted for, maximum D was a highly significant predictor of species contributions to biomass (F=6,218, df=1,317, P <0.0001, R 2 =0.83, Fig. 4a ) and productivity (F=2,577, df=1,254, P <0.0001, R 2 =0.67, Fig. 4b ).
