One RCT evaluated a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug meloxicam in SAH and showed no differences in in-hospital mortality or GOS on discharge, with a slight trend toward reduced middle cerebral artery transcranial Doppler flow velocity in patients treated with meloxicam [ 52 ].
In a study by Green et al., subjects with physical limitations, as defined by the Katz score, showed a trend towards higher one-year mortality compared to patients without limitations [ 38 ].
Though our prevalence of the combined phenotype may have been overestimated due to selection bias, the association with an ENG mutation is highly significant and clinically important.
[ 25 ] found no relationship between adiponectin and SCORAD score in a group of 64 patients aged 1–46 years, but noticed an apparent trend toward low adiponectin content in severe eczema.
Although there were no differences in the adiponectin content between mild and severe eczema, a decreasing trend was noticed with increasing severity of eczema (P trend = 0.005) ( Figure 1 ).
Our study obviously has limitations in the number of groups—Co-graft ADM and STSG and STSG group—and it is difficult to draw firm conclusions from this comparison; however, we note a positive trend of better healing and shorter hospitalization time in the Co-graft ADM and STSG group (7 days vs. 10 days).
With increasing HOMA-IR index, MEEi progressively decreased, which was highly significant and independent of kinship, demographical data, major CV risk factors and inflammation markers [ 15 ].
Evaluation of the second stage of reconstruction showed a trend towards a higher rating of the overall appearance compared to the first stage of reconstruction for both devices, but this was not found to be significant ( p > 0.9999 in Mentor CPX ® 4 breasts and p = 0.7813 in SmoothSilk ® breasts).
When we performed survival analysis according to the four groups classified by the thyroid function (quartile of each TSH, free T4 and T3) and VA status (i.e., VA—highest quartile of thyroid function, VA—lowest quartile of thyroid function, non-VA—highest quartile of thyroid function and non-VA—lowest quartile of thyroid function), VA with the highest quartile of TSH patients showed a trend for lower event-free survival as compared to those with VA with the lowest quartile of TSH and non-VA patients irrespective of TSH quartile ( Figure S1A ).
Other authors have also described an increasing trend in the use of these agents and have related it to growing attention in the literature and the inclusion of thrombolysis in clinical guidelines as a standard reperfusion therapy for patients with stable haemodynamic PE in the absence of contraindications [ 7 , 35 ].
The AJCC 8th edition staging system showed a trend to better discrimination, with an AUC of 0.69 (95% CI: 0.52–0.84) compared to 0.61 (95% CI: 0.51–0.73) for the 7th edition.
Hence, HDL could be interpreted as an exercise marker, thereby indicating that subjects with higher HDL concentrations and thus physically more active had a clear trend towards greater weight loss patterns.
However, we observed a highly significant negative correlation between age and RPE thickness in some central cells which, to our knowledge, has not been reported before.
Most patients were characterized by Hurley grade III HS; (3) Results: The use of PRP injection in reconstructions (skin flaps) improved healing and reduced the number of complications, a notable trend in this study.
We observed a highly significant increase in the mortality rate of hypertensive versus normotensive subjects as well as worse outcomes in the non-ACEI/ARB group versus the ACEI and ARB groups.
Ultrasound evaluation revealed significantly reduced capsules around SmoothSilk ® expanders and a highly significant occurrence of seroma formation in the upper pole of the CPX ® expander.
Secondly, perhaps due to increasing awareness, the rate of potential drug interactions with DOACs showed a decreasing trend over a five-year period; however, the rate of prescribing SSRIs/SNRIs was relatively high and remained unchanged.
