The lack of statistically significant differences between the 30-, 60-, and 90-day groups may partly reflect limited statistical power; however, the strong and highly significant association between IL-8 levels and stent visibility suggests that degradation status, rather than time alone, may be a key biological factor influencing IL-8 expression.
For example, mice deficient in APP showed a trend to be more susceptible to infection by Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium [ 145 ], but it is unknown if more labile iron was available for infection or if the effect was due to the absence of amyloid β, which can have antibacterial effects independent of iron capture. 11.
However, the extraction yields exhibited a decreasing trend with power beyond 400 W, which could be attributed to three interrelated factors: excessive bubble formation created a shielding effect that reduced the energy transfer efficiency, localized overheating at bubble collapse sites promoted thermal degradation of sensitive compounds, and elevated free radical generation from intensified bubble collapse that induced oxidative damage to target phytochemicals.
We note that while the core findings of this study—including the massive increases in pregnanolone, its conjugate, 17-hydroxypregnanolone, and 5β-pregnane-3α,20α-diol—withstand stringent FDR correction (q < 0.001; Table 2 ), a subset of nominally significant changes in minor downstream metabolites (e.g., epietiocholanolone conjugate, 5β-androstane-3α,17β-diol conjugate) should be interpreted as exploratory observations pending independent replication ( Table 2 , footnote).
Liver function tests As shown in Figure 2 (and Supplementary Figure S1D,E ), a decreasing trend in both serum AST and ALT was observed in both the Ganwei alone and metformin alone arms; however, statistical significance was achieved only in the metformin alone arm ( p = 0.039 and p = 0.031, respectively).
The protein processing pathway in the endoplasmic reticulum had the largest gene count, indicating that the most differentially expressed genes were involved, although its enrichment score was relatively low and the p -value was moderately significant.
