In contrast, Bacteroides showed a decreasing trend with advancing age in our cohort, whereas studies in other countries have reported different age-related patterns.
Excerpts
Across pooled samples, the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-1α exhibited an increasing trend congruent with the progressive enhancement of innate immune activation ( Kusiak and Brady, 2022 ; Van Dyke, 2017 ).
Muribaculaceae showed an increasing trend in the Wuji Pill group ( Figure 2I ).
In contrast, the abundances of genes associated with carbon fixation pathways in prokaryotes, RNA polymerase, and proteasome showed a decreasing trend ( Figure 5B ; Supplementary Table S8 ).
Similar to PA, the total content of SLs also shows an increasing trend under heat stress ( Tereshina et al., 2010 , 2011 , 2013 ) ( Figure 1B ).
3.4 Gut microbial community diversity Exposure to high concentrations of Ti 3 C 2 T x showed a trend toward increased diversity and richness of the intestinal microbial community in D. magna ( Figure 3 ).
Similarly, exposure to 0.01 mg/L Ti 3 C 2 T x showed no significant effect on the Shannon index, whereas 1 mg/L Ti 3 C 2 T x exposure exhibited an increasing trend in the Shannon index ( Figures 3C , D ).
The significant OTUs in the FS generally exhibited an increasing trend ( Figure 3f ), while those in the SS were predominantly characterized by a decreasing trend ( Figure 3g ).
Soil enzyme activity exerted the strongest direct positive effect on crop performance, reaching a highly significant level, making it the most crucial direct determinant of final crop performance.
The PERMANOVA results showed that R 2 = 0.068 with p = 0.083, indicating marginal significance, and ANOSIM demonstrated R 2 = 0.041 with p = 0.091. 3.5 Differential taxa and functional context Two-group comparisons ( Figure 11 ) revealed OTUs with varying abundance levels between groups.
This non-parametric test yielded a chi-squared statistic of χ 2 = 3.33 ( p = 0.068), indicating a nonsignificant trend toward higher gene discovery rates in Gram-negative species.
In this sense, despite we observed almost significant differences in the level of Δ-VEGF-A in reactor vs. non-reactor goats, more work needs to be done to understand the role of this cytokine in cTB.
Furthermore, leg meat pH 24 h significantly increased as the cage tier decreased, while cooking loss showed a decreasing trend.
Differences were considered statistically significant at p < 0.05 and highly significant at p < 0.01. 3.
Pseudomonas showed highly significant positive correlations with EC and SUC, whereas Paenarthrobacter exhibited a strong positive correlation with Fe.
These analyses revealed the highly significant positive correlation between the GSB and the first codon position, which was observed for bacterial and archaeal chromosomes and plasmids.
At the aerobic exposure period, the pH of all groups exhibited an increasing trend.
Differences in fecal hormones and SCFA levels associated with piglet birth weight in sows The HBW group exhibited significantly higher fecal concentrations of acetate ( p = 0.005), propionate ( p = 0.034), isobutyrate ( p = 0.007), and valerate ( p = 0.036) compared to the LBW group, and isovalerate ( p = 0.085) showed an increasing trend in the HBW group ( Table 4 ).
However, MSSI showed a trend of reducing nirK abundance across most N levels, suggesting potential mitigation of N fertilizer loss from cropland ecosystems.
Moreover, the relative abundance of Marinifilaceae shows a highly significant negative correlation with the expression of genes involved in cell cycle signaling pathways, suggesting that TLR2 exacerbates DSS-induced intestinal injury through a Marinifilaceae-dependent attenuation of cell cycle signaling ( Shi et al., 2024 ).
The distance traveled by these air masses was variable and showed a decreasing trend throughout the study period ( Figure 2 ; Table 2 ), potentially related to the seasonality of the episodes ( Table 1 ).
Effective potassium (AK) did not display a significant trend with stand age and attained a maximum value of 99.44 mg/kg in the mature forest (R).
It was observed that within the young forest group, there was a notable increasing trend in relative abundance of Ascomycota and a decreasing trend in species abundance of Basidiomycota as tree age increased (J1-3).
Soil N: P showed a trend of decreasing first and then increasing, which was consistent with the trend of N: P ratio in rhizosphere soil of Pinus massoniana Lamb. plantation in southern China ( Xu et al., 2022 ).
The TN in the rhizosphere soil of larch in Northeast China showed an increasing trend in different time series, reaching the peak at the mature stage of forest, while TP showed a decreasing trend, reaching the minimum value of 0.49 g/kg at the near mature stage of forest ( Yan et al., 2017 ).
