Proteobacteria and Firmicutes showed an overall increasing trend, while Bacteroidetes showed a decreasing trend, and there were some contradictions in the changes in Actinobacteria ( 20 , 24 , 25 , 27 , 29 , 38 – 61 ).

Highly significant proteins in this group are related to the proteolytic balance in the extracellular matrix (ECM) (MMP7 and MMP1) and TNFα signaling pathways (TNFα, TWEAK).

Proteins were considered replicated when the corresponding gene was nominally significant and directionally concordant with the proteome. 2.6 Predictive modelling Two separate linear regression models were used to predict (i) COVID-19 disease severity and (ii) the time after SARS-CoV-2 infection.

A two-way ANOVA showed highly significant effects of the added compounds (EDTA or zymosan) as well as the incubation time for both complexes, when compared to the control samples (results in legend of Figure 6 ).

An increasing trend in NFIL3 expression was detected along with the severity of disease activity, but there were no significant differences.

The highly significant, continuing decrease of CD14 expression is surprising, and seemingly inconsistent with our finding that CD14 expression correlates negatively to BMI and waist circumference, as both BMI and waist circumference diminished during the intervention.

Hence our data further confirmed that CTLA-4 and PD-1/PD-L1 might be significant targets for immune therapies in LUAD.

Liu and colleagues characterized spike- and RBD-specific MBC upon inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine administration, showing that MBC persisted despite a decreasing trend over a 5-month time frame between second and third immunization, and that the third dose significantly increased the antigen-specific MBC ( 51 ).

Correlations of MΦ PC1 composite scores with ACTA2 , PDCD1LG2 , TNFAIP6 , ANGPT1 , and CXCL8 were near-significant.

Consistent with the above results, based on the analysis of GEO dataset analysis, the GSE16011 dataset showed an increasing trend in the number of patients with high-grade glioma ( Figure 4E ); similar results were observed for the GSE4412 dataset ( Figure 4F ) and the GSE43289 dataset ( Figure 4G ). qRT–PCR and immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining for SLC11A1 were used to evaluate SLC11A1 expression in tumor tissue samples and for further validation.

To further validate the signature, we applied it to the testing group and all samples, and the results showed a trend consistent with the training group ( Figures 5B–E ).

In the CD8 + T cell population, only the central memory T cells in the B21 group were significantly increased, and the effector memory T cells showed an increasing trend; however, there was no significant difference ( Figure 5B ).

Discussion With the change in people’s living standards and dietary structure, the incidence of gout has an evident trend of increasing, and it is one of the metabolic diseases that seriously threaten the physical and mental health of human beings ( 1 , 41 ).

Overall, BNT vaccination showed a trend for higher antibody levels in multiplex-bead assay and GenScript assay.

Correlations were highly significant for the main cell types involved in CHIKV arthritis; T cells ( 56 – 58 ), monocyte/macrophages ( 45 , 51 , 55 ) and NK cells ( 59 ), and to a lesser extent neutrophils ( 54 , 60 ), regulatory T cells ( 61 , 62 ) and dendritic cells ( 13 ) ( Figure 3C ).

In the Phase Ib study KEYNOTE-524, the combination of lenvatinib and pembrolizumab achieved an ORR of unresectable HCC of 36.0% ( 114 ), but its Phase III trial LEAP-002 did not reach the primary end point of the study, but showed a trend toward beneficial activity.

There was a nominally significant association between CD28 expression on CD4+ T cells and response (CR or PR) at day 180 after CAR-T cell infusion (91.3% CD28+, range 56.9–99.9% for responders versus 79.4%, range 44.6–99.9% for non-responders, p=0.048, t-test), but no other statistically significant associations between clinical outcomes and the frequencies of immune cell subsets in PBMC samples or the infusion products.

Due to the deterioration of the environment and the increase in the aging population, the incidence rate of IPF also shows an increasing trend every year ( 6 , 7 ).

At 1W after ablation, double positive CD8+CD39+ T cells showed an increasing trend ( Figure 5B ), although there was no significant difference compared to the proportion at BF.

Data one week post-ablation showed that the magnitude of TAA-specific T cell responses had a decreasing trend with respect to the pre-ablation timepoint.

We found a highly significant inverse correlation between MBL and fat percentage, determined by a whole-body DEXA scan, a very precise expression for obesity.

At the same time, AIDS and pre-AIDS groups had lower levels of phosphonoacetate and anti-inflammatory metabolites, such as vitamin B3 (niacinamide and nicotinamide riboside) ( 46 , 47 ), vitamin B6 [pyridoxine ( 48 ) and pyridoxamine ( 49 )], ectoine ( 50 ), cinnamaldehyde ( 51 ), salidroside ( 52 , 53 ), melatonin ( 54 , 55 ) and fumaric acid ( 56 ), among which niacinamide, pyridoxine, ectoine, cinnamaldehyde and salidroside exhibited a decreasing trend with the severity of disease.

It was also found that there was an increasing trend on HBV DNA level during pregnancy, with average value of 0.4-1log 10 IU/ml ( 100 ).
