Ferroptosis Pathway Interestingly, KEGG pathway enrichment analysis demonstrated that ferroptosis (ID: hsa04216) ( Figure 4 A) was enriched at a highly significant level ( p -value = 6.79 × 10 −8 versus control) for the dual treatment (PRO plus CAP) than in other single treatments ( p -value = 0.05; PRO, p -value = 3.34 × 10 −6 for CAP versus control), which confirmed the synergistic interaction of the dual treatment that was obtained from the cytotoxicity study.
Furthermore, we assessed prognostic differences between these two subgroups with a recurrence-risk analysis, and the difference between the two subgroups was extremely significant (log-rank p = 7 × 10 −8 ), with a C-index of 0.684 ( Figure 5 ). 3.2.3.
Analysis of the previously reported IHC and MSI statuses of these samples ( Table 1 ) confirmed there was a difference in assay concordance between Ohio and Manchester cohorts (18%) that was highly significant ( p = 1.2 × 10 −7 ).

Importantly, a comparison of 38 cancer cell lines found a highly significant correlation between high integrin β3 gene copy number and neratinib (Pearson correlation coefficients: 0.614, p -value = 4.12 × 10 −5 ) or lapatinib (Pearson correlation coefficients: 0.436, p -value = 1.13 × 10 −2 ) resistance ( Figure 2 E).
The moderate and highly significant positive correlation between Mcl-1 and USP9x immunoreactivity (Spearman’s r = 0.560, p = 0.000043; Pearson’s r = 0.510, p = 0.00025) proposed an interrelation between the anti-apoptotic protein Mcl-1 and the deubiquitylating enzyme USP9x in prostate cancer. 3.2.
There was also a positive, highly significant association between older age and improvement of baseline social functioning, i.e., per year of age, social functioning would increase by 53% (ß = 0.53, p = 9.53 × 10 −5 ); see Figure 4 .
Intriguingly, the let-7g targets showed highly significant enrichment for association signal ( p = 9.99 × 10 −5 ) and magnitude signal ( p = 3 × 10 −4 ) in comparison with non-target genes based on quartile categorization.
Kaplan–Meier survival analysis revealed that patients of the high-risk score group had highly significant shorter OS rates than those in the low-risk score group ( p < 0.0001) ( Figure 4 B).
However, the analysis also revealed substantial heterogeneity, with an I 2 statistic of 100% and a highly significant test of heterogeneity (p ≤ 0.0001) ( Figure 2 and Figure 3 ).
As shown in Figure 2 a,b for the universal assay, we found a highly significant correlation (R 2 = 1.000, p < 0.0001 without; R 2 = 0.998, p < 0.0001 with added third-party DNA) between the numbers of HCK and axi-cel copies up to the lowest concentration.
