A statistical trend was observed only for patient age at DCIS diagnosis, with an increased hazard ratio for patients older than 50 years.

In CML a high production of HGF was found associated with increased basophilia, a key feature of the acceleration phase in CML, and thus, HGF level was considered a highly significant prognostic factor [ 16 ].
