There was no statistical difference in the probability of being diagnosed with DVT among moderate and severe COVID-19 cases ( P = .197); however, the time to event analysis by severity of COVID-19 symptoms using Kaplan-Meier plot shows ( Fig 1 ) that the likelihood of diagnosis of DVT for severe category of patients with COVID-19 was higher and trending toward significance as was seen in the univariate Cox regression (hazard ratio, 2.13; 95% CI, 0.64-7.08) than that for patients with mild to moderate disease.
In addition, areas AM and RL were trending toward significance, but areas AL, LI, and S1 did not show significant retinotopic anisotropy in coherent motion correlation (Fig. 5j ; V1: −0.81 ± 0.05, t 9 = 5.3, −10.3, p = 1.4 × 10 −6 ; LM: −0.44 ± 0.08, t 9 = −3.3, p = 4.3 × 10 −3 ; AL: 0.03 ± 0.14 , t 9 = −1.1, p = 0.85; PM: −0.78 ± 0.06, t 9 = −8.9, p = 4.5 × 10 −6 ; LI: −0.04 ± 0.11, t 9 = −0.6, p = 0.73; RL: −0.27 ± 0.10, t 9 = −2.1, p = 0.035; AM: −0.36 ± 0.14, t 9 = −2.0, p = 0.036; S1: −0.14 ± 0.09, t 9 = −1.3, p = 0.11; Bonferroni-corrected threshold p < 0.006, mean ± s.e.m., single-sample t test).
When further investigation into serologic markers of autoimmune disease was performed, it was determined that patients with CSU as compared to control subjects had significantly higher levels of anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibodies, antinuclear antibodies (ANA), antithyroglobulin (i.e., antimicrosomal) antibodies, rheumatoid factor, anti-transglutaminase IgA antibodies, and anti-parietal cell antibodies with anti-dsDNA, and anti-cardiolipin antibodies trending toward significance.
