Using the multivariate analyses, opioids and ECOG PS were independent prognostic factors for PFS, whereas only ECOG PS resulted to be an independent prognostic factor for OS, with trend toward significance for opioids as well as tumor burden.

We found that GCA had a higher level of B-cell infiltration compared to colorectal adenocarcinoma ( Figure 3A ), but lower B-cell infiltration compared to IACSRCC with trend toward significance ( Figure 4B ), and significantly higher CD8+ T-cell infiltration levels compared to colorectal adenocarcinoma ( Figure 3E ), but lower CD8+ T-cell infiltration levels compared to IACSRCC ( Figure 4C ).

Interestingly, emotional stimuli facilitated RT conflict processing in older adults, while younger adults only showed a numerical trend toward significance.

A selective trend toward significance among phenotypic mutations is also observed for A→C/T→G (sense/antisense) among phenotypic mutations, and for G→A/C→T (sense/antisense) among both phenotypic and incidental mutations (Table 5 ).

Notably, this decrease is preceded by an early increase, detected at day 3 of culture, in RSV-treated and T EMRA D-derived T EMRA CD8 + (trend toward significance) and CD4 + T cells in the T EMRA E presence of T EMRA E ( Figure 6 F).

For example, larger sample sizes would improve the interpretability of matched pairs analyses, as some current findings trend toward significance.

This partial overlap is a common feature of QMI data; due to the stringency of the statistical analysis, many interactions that are identified as “significant” in one experiment may only trend toward significance in the next (Heavner et al. 2021 ).

Lastly, while our study did not show a statistically significant difference in OS and PFS between cohorts, there did appear to be a potential trend toward significance between these two variables.

However, the MTV FAPI :MTV FET ratio, an index reflecting the percentage of FAP overexpression from CAFs in the entire tumor microenvironment of the glioma parenchyma, showed a non-significant trend toward significance in distinguishing recurrent glioma from treatment-related changes, including radiation necrosis or pseudoprogression.

Stage grouping ( P = 0.007) and pathological T ( P = 0.01) had significant impact on DFS on univariate analysis whereas histological grade ( P = 0.06) showed trend toward significance.[ 42 ] More recently, investigators from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI) reported on outcomes of 32 patients treated with adjuvant chemoradiation.

On the other hand, GGT ≥ 60 U/L (OR = 6.201, CI = 1.096–35.097, P = 0.039) showed significant relationship to LAF score 2 for sinusoidal fibrosis while positive FANA (OR = 5.880, CI = 0.963–35.904, P = 0.055) showed trend toward significance.

Several clinical variables such as metastasis ( p = 0.0562) and histological grade ( p = 0.0614) trend toward significance but fall below standard alpha thresholds.

After the first year of treatment, 2 out of 10 cognitive parameters were significantly changed (one trend toward significance in SDMT), and in the second year 3 out of 10 parameters showed significant changes (two trends).

However, the interaction of experiments with location, F (1,34) = 3.311, MSE = 0.611, p < 0.078, partial η 2 = 0.089, BF 10 = 1.404, and the three-way interaction, F (1,34) = 3.136, MSE = 0.333, p < 0.086, partial η 2 = 0.084, BF 01 = 1.127, trend toward significance.
