Although the pooled effect sizes for risk of need for intubation [RR, 1.69; 95% CI, 0.97 to 2.94; I 2 = 0.0%, n = 5] and mortality [RR, 3.33; 95% CI, 0.95 to 11.67; n = 1] did not achieve statistical significance, the direction of the effect sizes tended toward significance and indicated a nearly three times higher risk for mortality and two times higher risk of need for intubation in those receiving HFNC, compared to CPAP treatment ( Figure 2 ).
There is a study that aimed to evaluate the dietary intake of fish and v-3 fatty acids in children, where they proved by a linear regression model the relations between serum ALT and long-chain ω-3 fatty acid intake that tended toward significance by adding factors including demographic, anthropometric, and dietary variables [ 39 ].
In terms of actual clinical correlation, when they compared combination screening data with in vivo clinical responses, patients classified as responders ( n = 9) tended toward significance of increased ex vivo sensitivity (median DSS of 51.8) versus patients achieving poor response, with a median DSS of 23.4 ( n = 4; minimal response (MR) = 1, stable disease (SD) = 1, progressive disease (PD) = 2).
In terms of the ACL-RSI score, a previous study evaluated groups divided into >90% and ≤90% of multiple lower- limb muscle function test LSIs, including anterior SLH, with results showing that there was no significant between-group difference at 8 months after primary ACL reconstruction, but the difference tended toward significance at 12 months. 4 The ACL-RSI score at the time of return was high when the range of increase in knee extension strength from before reconstruction to return to play was large. 15 A study of patients who returned to sports after a mean of 7 months after ACL reconstruction showed that those with a higher knee extension strength LSI at the time of return had higher ACL-RSI scores. 15 In the current study, knee flexion strength LSI at an angular velocity of 180 deg/s was not significantly related to ACL-RSI score in the multiple regression analysis.
In addition, preoperative symptoms such as tingling or numbness ( p =0.08) and inadvertent dropping of objects ( p =0.09) tended toward significance, but were not statistically significant in multivariate analysis.
Exploratory behaviors showed no significant effect of treatment during the treatment observation period ( p = 0.238), but did show a significant overall treatment effect of during the post-treatment observation period ( p = 0.002), with control and electrical stimulus treatment showing a higher number of exploratory behaviors than the other treatments, but multiple comparisons only tended toward significance ( p (adjusted) = 0.053 ( Table 4 ).
