We considered that mechanistic insight into the donor substrate dependence of the enzymatic glucosyl transfer is fundamentally important, and can be practically significant, in a broad field of applied bio‐catalysis using hydrolase enzymes for synthesis (Adlercreutz, 2017 ; Giordano et al., 2006 ; Kasche, 1986 ; Marsden et al., 2020 ; van Rantwijk et al., 1999 ).
While the key parameters of the most practically significant scenarios of laser-induced filamentation are known to obey, to a reasonable approximation, a set of physically transparent scaling laws in their behavior as functions of laser pulse widths, propagation paths, and beam-focusing geometries 30 , 31 , 32 , any scaling with respect to the ratio P / P cr of the laser peak power, P , to the critical power of self-focusing, P cr , is inherently limited as this ratio controls the number of filaments that a high- P laser beam breaks up into and defines the limits of the single-filamentation regime 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 .
Furthermore, in addition to traditional effect size and cut-off metrics, the results should also be reported within the context of treatment costs, treatment burden, treatment-related adverse effects, and clinically meaningful differences to determine if the findings are not only statistically robust but also practically significant in a real-world setting.
Bayesian posterior estimates indicated that the effects of Heat Intensity, Cue x Phase interactions, and Heat Intensity x Cue x Phase interactions were practically significant with enough evidence to reject the null (<1% in ROPE), while the main effect of Phase supported the null (i.e. no effect of Phase; 99.8% in ROPE), despite being statistically significant.
Outcomes include both statistically significant research results and practically significant responses to both immediate social services needs and the more politically rooted systems that can create health disparities and inequities. 1.2.
