The direct temporal relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic burnout was only partially significant, with T2 academic self-efficacy being significantly negatively associated with T3 academic burnout ( γ = −0.20, p < 0.001), while the remaining paths did not reach significance ( p > 0.05).
