Fisher's exact test revealed that in terms of the type of mutation, B [a] P and AFB 1 patterns were not statistically different (p = 0.6735), whereas the differences between the patterns for acetaldehyde and either B [a] P or AFB 1 were statistically of borderline significance (p values of 0.0546 and 0.0705, respectively).
Our data broadly confirm this pattern of reduced live birth and increased miscarriage, but refine it by showing that the excess risk is largely concentrated in women with direct sonographic markers: when adenomyosis is defined simply as “any MUSA feature”, the effect on live birth is modest and of borderline significance, whereas focusing on direct markers alone reveals a nearly 60% reduction in the odds of live birth and an almost four-fold increase in miscarriages.
In our study, endoscopists who attended previous training courses on the quality of endoscopy were more likely to adhere to performance measures for both upper and lower GI endoscopy, although the association was of borderline significance.
The results obtained suggested that the majority of variation observed in the methylation pattern was not explained by the cellular heterogeneity, and when some variation in DNA methylation that could be explained by variation in cellular heterogeneity was observed, this variation was generally small, and associations were of borderline significance.
Regarding the stomach, D 0.03 < 45 Gy and V44Gy < 2 cc may be suggested as sufficiently safe; however, V44Gy < 9 cc was found to be a robust constraint for duodenum, while the association with D 0.03 was found to be of borderline significance: despite that the best cutoff value suggested a threshold of 47.6 Gy, the lack of robustness seen at internal validation suggests a safer limit in the range 45–46 Gy as reasonable.
