Another variant (rs17009220, P = 0.00484, http://www.gwascentral.org/marker/HGVM16286779/results?t=2 ) in WDFY3 exhibited nominally significant interaction (SNP* APOE ε4) in an AD case-control GWAS study.[ 27 ] GFRA1 gene, which encodes GDNF family receptor alpha 1, a member of the GDNF receptor family, is among the few genes with suggestive association to rate of cognitive decline in the LMCI subgroup.

Two-sided P < 0.05 before Bonferroni correction were considered as nominally significant.
These three genes, when considered individually, were nominally significant, as were two other genes located ~1.5 Mb away ( EID1 and ARPP19 ) ( Fig. 5 , F and G ).
Although our genomic context enrichment data on differential methylation at 18 years used nominally significant methylation differences, our results suggest that inter-individual differences in methylation are more likely to occur in regions of the genome not associated with aging.
A smoking-status interaction was nominally significant among women ( P for interaction = 0.045) but did not remain significant after FDR adjustment (q = 0.268); therefore, this finding should be interpreted cautiously.
