In contrast, AGT rs5051, ATG rs699, and AGT rs4762 demonstrated no statistically significant associations with SBP or DBP changes after multivariate adjustment, despite some nominally significant findings observed in unadjusted (crude) analyses.

The HLA-DPA1/DPB1 SNPs did not show nominally significant associations with neocortical LRP in the CFAS material (Table 2 ).
Similarly to Aung et al, 16 who reported a nominally significant effect between LTL and LV stroke volume, there were also significant associations between LTL and LV end‐diastolic and end‐systolic volume, but these did not survive multiple testing correction.
This study identified nine nominally significant AD risk associations, a higher significance rate than most such studies, with the POU2F1 association also reaching study-wide significance.
While many taxa were found nominally significant, only Sutterella at 1 yr was associated with lower BMD (β: −2.329 × 10 −3 ; 95% CI, −3.616 × 10 −3 to −1.043 × 10 −3 , after correction for multiple testing: p .adj = .021) and aBMC (β: −2.46; 95% CI, −3.73 to −1.19, after correction for multiple testing: p .adj = .008) and it independently contributed to 2.5% and 2.8% of the variance in BMD and aBMC, respectively ( Table 2 , Figure 3 ).
In both the Autism Spectrum Disorder and the Oppositional Defiant Disorder/Conduct Disorder group, increased time to first fixation on the eyes of fearful faces only was nominally significant.
Among 379 metabolites, 33 were nominally significant at a P value of less than 0.05 in any of the models (model 1 through model 6 in Fig. 1 ) ( Supplementary Table S2 ).
Our study confirms and extends this report, showing that nominally significant results occur significantly less often than expected, even for low MAF SNPs, resulting in a conservative bias.
With consideration of a second validation tier as being nominally significant and directionally consistent in the other cohort, these proportions amounted to 57% and 88% for AGES-Reykjavik and QMDiab, respectively ( Fig. 1E ).
There were 223 IR-associated genes in SAT containing a total of 336 nominally significant differentially methylated sites (DMS).
Another study implicated, for migraine in general, macromolecular complex, nucleus and protein complex-related genes [ 5 ], while a non-systematic analysis suggested enrichment of nominally significant genes in mitochondrial processes and inflammatory response between migraine patients and controls [ 7 ].
The large sample size of these studies facilitated these analyses, and the results were either statistically significant or nominally significant.
Nominally significant interactions for first event of hospitalisation for heart failure (HHF) and HHF/CV death were observed with baseline use of diuretics, including loop diuretics, with an increased benefit of ertugliflozin vs placebo (Figure).
For each measure, we will report p values adjusted for the number of these core analyses, as well as nominally significant p values (to enable comparison with previous studies), effect sizes, and descriptive information on frequency and severity of deficits.
We extracted the nominally significant results (FDR< 0.05).
Only a nominally significant association (p-val < 0.05) was found among white individuals who were vitamin D sufficient compared to vitamin D deficient (OR = 0.82, 95% CI 0.68–0.99, p-val = 0.036) (Table S1 ), however, it was not statistically significant after Bonferroni correction (p-val > 0.003).
Three had nominally significant P-values (i.e. <0.05), and two of these associations supported the top 5 primary GWAS associations ( Table 3 ).
Both analyses, however, yielded a substantial number of nominally significant genes with differential expression.
Future research combining data across cohorts should test our nominally significant findings to further elucidate the pathogenic relevance of variants considered PD-risk or severe GBA1 variants in men and women with Parkinson’s disease, increase statistical power, and provide more definitive conclusions.
Post-hoc analyses of nominally significant interactions were performed using race-specific analyses stratified by baseline fitness or BMI group, with no further adjustment for fitness or BMI.
Results at p uncorrected <0.05 were considered nominally significant and results at p FDR<0.05 were considered statistically significant.
Most ether lipids measured display mean levels that increase with phenformin treatment, though these changes are either nominally significant or exhibit a nonsignificant trend because of the strict threshold required to reach significance when correcting for multiple hypotheses.
For 81 of the 97 candidate biomarkers, the Pearson correlations were nominally significant for the change in gene expression and the compound response score.
In the International Glaucoma Genetics Consortium dataset for CCT [ 22 ], there were a number of nominally significant associations; however, none of the markers remained significant after corrections for multiple testing.
Overlap of nominally significant differentially methylated CpGs (DMCs) in never-smokers versus placebo with nominally significant DMCs in vitamin C versus placebo identified 9059 candidate “restored CpGs” for association with placental transcript expression and respiratory outcomes.
