Predicted impact of ASC-EV-derived miRNAs on cellular processes The enrichment pathway analyses with the miRNA expression correlations and predicted targets was made by matching the top-60 enriched miRNAs in ASC-EVs with predicted mRNA targets in miRWalk (Suppl data 2 , complete list of nominally significant genes, p-value < 0.05 for each miRNA) and subsequent GO enrichment analyses showed a preponderance for mRNAs affected by miR-1290, miR23/27/24 cluster and the miR-15/107 family with no less than 15,870 mRNAs to be targeted by those enriched ASC-EVs-derived miRNAs.

By removing each SNP from the MR analysis sequentially, if the association is no longer nominally significant ( P > 0.05) with the SNP removed, this indicates that a particular SNP is driving the association.
Of 912 total comparisons, 207 were nominally significant (p < 0.05), 74 survived per-family FDR at q < 0.05, and 147 at q < 0.10. 2.4.
Nominally significant findings ( P < .05) that did not meet these thresholds were reported cautiously.
When the Saline Solution group was compared with the remaining groups, the mean difference was 0.96667 versus SP Gel ( p = 0.474) and 3.17333 versus SP Macerate (standard error = 1.39615; p = 0.031), with the latter representing the only nominally significant difference ( p < 0.05).
Nominally significant items/reasons (P < 0.05) are highlighted.
To evaluate whether there were differences in association strengths between PRSs for specific phenotypic categories, we regressed the effect sizes or ORs of all nominally significant (p < 0.05) PheWAS associations of one PRS against the other with a fixed intercept at zero for each category and then performed one-sample t tests of the resultant slopes against a value of 1.
Results: Among the 5 subjects, there were 132 nominally significant correlations (p< 0.05) between mRNA expression and MRI activity.
As 263 (93.93%) of these associations yielded a Cochran's Q P -value ≥0.05, and only 17 (6.07%) showed nominally significant heterogeneity (Cochran's Q P -value <0.05), with none surviving Bonferroni correction ( P < 0.05/280 = 1.79 × 10 −4 ).
There was predominantly a candidate gene approach using common alleles, which despite small sample sizes (median 93 [IQR 40–222]) with no trend to an increase over time, generated a high proportion (74.5%) of nominally significant (p<0.05) reported associations suggesting the possibility of significance-chasing bias.
236 (68.6%) of these 344 CpGs were nominally significant ( p < 0.05) in our study, while 22 (6.4%) remained significant after accounting for the multiple tests of the replication effort ( p < 0.05/344 ~ 0.0001) (Table 2 ).
Interestingly, SCZ showed a nominally significant proportion of caQTL-mediated heritability in LCLs (p<0.05, MESC), consistent with the hypothesis that B cells may play some role in SCZ pathogenesis ( Schizophrenia Working Group of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium, 2014 ; van Mierlo et al., 2019 ).
4 , 11 Harmonious with these previous studies, we also found nominally significant associations ( P < 0.05) of the PRS with surgical recurrence and doctor- and patient-reported ectopic disease.
1 Of the 208 unique genes associated with muscle strength in the meta-analysis all were significant in FHS alone (nominal P < 0.05), and 79 (38%) were also “independently” associated with muscle strength in the Illumina meta-analysis (nominally significant, P < 0.05).
The interaction term was found to be nominally significant (p-value < 0.05) for forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1) and whole-body water mass, and suggestive (p-value < 0.10) for the basal metabolic rate, all driven by the effects in females ( Figure 6a ).
In a replication study of the 18 novel loci, findings from the HF GWAS in the GBMI multi-ancestry excluding UK Biobank indicate 33.3% (6 of 18) of variants are significant ( p value <0.05/18), 61.1% (11 of 18) are nominally significant ( p value <0.05), and 100% have a beta estimate that is directionally concordant with our meta-analysis (Supplementary Data 20 ).
To give readers an accurate sense of data heterogeneity and noise, we perform more tests than the minimum number required, computing C>A enrichments individual by individual and observing nominally significant enrichments in only a few children ( P < 0.05 in a 1-tailed test without multiple testing correction).
Nominally significant (pooled p -values < 0.05) interactions pointed to regions in or close to genes LRRC7 (maternal gene-folate interaction), NCKAP5 (PoO-smoking interaction), and IFT43 and GPATCH2L (PoO-folate interaction).
However, in turn, only a fraction of these present nominally significant ( P < .05) tissue-by-subtype interactions, and hence harbor effects that are different between the 2 tissues (310 of 1204; 25.7%).
Weak evidence: nominally significant associations (p < 0.05); v.
We found that four SNPs showed nominally significant associations at P <0.05 for rs26232 ( C5orf30 ), rs2073838 ( SLC22A4 ), rs11676922 ( AFF3 ), and rs7528684 ( FCRL3 ).
Of the 87 associations, 79 are with markers present in two or more populations and of these, 19 show nominally significant heterogeneity ( P < 0.05).
SAS (v9.4, SAS Institute, Cary, NC, USA) was used for the statistical analyses with a nominally significant level of P <0.05.
The only nominally significant ( p < 0.05) difference among the randomization groups was for height, which was highest in the metformin group.
Plasma NFL alone (Pathway 3) showed nominally significant mediation effects for ADAS13, CDRSB, MEM, and LAN (total indirect effect: all uncorrected P < 0.05) ( Figure 2IV .A, B; Table S9); however, after FDR correction, only the mediation effect on MEM remained significant ( P < 0.05).
