A recent cross-sectional nutrigenetic study in a Saudi adult cohort reported a near-significant interaction between TCF7L2 rs7903146 and total energy and saturated fat intake on insulin concentrations, with TT carriers showing greater reductions in insulin levels under lower-energy dietary conditions ( Al-odinan et al., 2025 ).
There was a near-significant association between FMD at baseline and disease severity assessed as mild/moderate versus moderate versus moderate/severe (p for trend = 0.051, Fig 2 , panel A), but no significant correlations between FMD and either SF-36 Physical Function (p = 0.60, panel B) or steps per 24 hours (p = 0.22, panel C).

However, another meta-analysis of 23 studies (from 3 months to 2 years) showed a near-significant increase in HDL,[ 53 ] probably due to the that longer periods are needed to manifest changes in LCHP diet-induced HDL metabolism, possibly due to the slow turnover rate of HDL particles.[ 6 ] Similar to,[ 47 , 48 , 54 - 57 ] the present study showed a decrease in body weight that may be attributed
The C2 signature also showed consistent expression differences between patient response groups (CR/PR, SD, PD) in both Ipi Naïve and Ipi Prog cohorts ( Figure 7C ), as well as significant and near-significant associations with patient overall survival in Ipi Naïve (pre-treatment) and Ipi Prog (pre- and on-treatment) cohorts, despite small patient numbers ( Figure 7D ).
Our IHC finding is also consistent with the near-significant result from Western blot analysis (Fig. 4 A), and since both analyses represent different non-epilepsy control subject tissue samples, it gave us an enhanced confidence that the increased CACNB3 expression levels in mTLE temporal lobe neocortex were a true biological finding.
[ 73 ] on patients affected by diffuse axonal injury (a subset of TBI seen with blunt trauma to the head) [ 186 ] reported a near-significant positive trend in cognitive outcomes in the group randomised to three 360 mg capsules of boswellic acids per day compared to placebo, for whom spontaneous recovery during the study period did not approach statistical significance.
There were certain factors (i.e., mean RASS and fatal ICH) that showed near-significant trends between survivors and non-survivors, and although the study is not primarily designed to compare them, having a larger sample size could have resulted in statistical significance.
