This aligns with evidence from a recent meta-analysis encompassing 35 studies, which identified insomnia (RR = 1.43; 95% CI, 1.17–1.74), sleep-disordered breathing (RR = 1.22; 95% CI, 1.07–1.39), and additional sleep-related disorders—including sleep fragmentation and sleep-related movement disorders (RR = 1.58; 95% CI, 1.21–2.07)—as significant risk factors for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD); excessive daytime sleepiness demonstrated a marginally significant association with AD risk (RR = 1.18; 95% CI, 1.00–1.40) [ 22 ].
When limiting the analysis to 212 heavy drinkers (≥2 drinks/day for women and ≥3 drinks/day for men), significantly higher risk of alcoholic FLD was found for higher levels of perfluorooctanoic acid (OR SD 1.79; 95% CI 1.07–2.99), PFHxS (OR SD 2.06; 95% CI 1.17–3.65), and perfluoroheptane sulfonic acid (OR SD 1.44; 95% CI 1.00–2.07), and marginally significant higher risk for total PFAS (OR SD 2.12; 95% CI 0.99–4.54).
Further incorporating “result demonstrability” (Table 3 , Model 3), “willingness to learn about wearable technology” (Table 3 , Model 4), and the “desire for guidelines” (Table 3 , Model 5) revealed that the intention to use wearable technology in the future is primarily related to “perceived usefulness,” the “wish for guidelines” (marginally significant after Bonferroni correction), and “result demonstrability”.
Specifically, MEAR results indicated that: (a) 50% (8/16) of the children with SM displayed no MEAR at maximum stimulation level in at least 2 of 12 assessment conditions [two ears, three tested frequencies (0.5, 1, 2 kHz), two stimulation sides (ipsi- and contra-lateral)] compared to only two children in the control group; (b) Children with SM had significantly higher prevalence of abnormal MEAR (absent or thresholds > 100 dB HL) and significantly higher MEAR thresholds for all tested frequencies excluding a marginally significant difference for right ear ipsi- and contralateral thresholds to 0.5 kHz tones; (c) Children with SM displayed significantly higher prevalence of abnormal right ear MEAR decay functions, and a marginally significant finding of higher prevalence of abnormal left ear ipsi-lateral MEAR decay function at 0.5 kHz.
26 For non–health care workers, one RCT on an iCBT program reported a significant effect on sick leave, 24 whereas other studies reported a nonsignificant 22 or only a marginally significant effect. 23 To our knowledge, no RCT has investigated the effect of iCBT on intention to leave among any types of workers, although previous studies reported the effect of a face-to-face, group-based CBT program on decreasing intention to leave. 27 , 28 Given that poor mental health was a determinan
