Actually, two meta-analyses of observational studies [ 23 , 46 ] reported a positive association between increased BMI and CM in males, and our findings are in the same direction, showing a marginally non-significant positive association in males (OR: 1.59, 95% CI: 0.95–2.67, and in females, OR: 0.65, 95% CI: 0.32–1.30).
