Moreover, we could find no association between expression of MUC6 with MUC5AC; in other words, only 24.1% of MUC5AC positive specimens were also positive more MUC6, and 47% of MUC6 positive specimens, had also positive immunostaining for MUC5AC (P = 0.354) Certain patterns of MUC expression were significantly associated with invasion of polyps to mucosa or muscularis mucosae, including the up-regulation of MUC1 (marginal significance), absence of MUC2, and positive MUC6 expression (Table 2 ).

Significant treatment effects are determined at α = 0.1, 0.01, 0.001 for marginal significance, significance, and highly significant respectively.
The marginal significance represents a trend toward statistical significance or a strong likelihood that the results would become statistically significant with a larger sample size ( Klein et al., 2023 ; Powell et al., 2017 ).

Historically underrepresented gender and race/ethnicity were associated with lower CSE (main effects), yet the interaction was not significant (two-way interaction); since it was trending, however, this observation may be worth future investigation due to the marginal significance of the interaction.
Wilcoxon tests comparing PD patients in ‘On’ and ‘Off’ conditions Wilcoxon tests showed a marginal significance when comparing how much patients enjoyed the interaction with higher values in ‘On’ (M = 77.56, s.d. = 18.80) than ‘Off’ (M = 62.69, s.d. = 27.26) Condition (Z= 1.96, P = 0.05) ( Figure 3 ).
Similarly, postoperative QRS duration correlated closely with change of LV ejection fraction ( r = −0.417, P = 0.005) and change of QRS duration correlated with change of LV ejection fraction (LVEF) ( r = −0.278, P = 0.064) with marginal significance ( Figure 3 C and 3 D ).
Marginal significance was considered at # P ≦ 0.08.

Brain disease genes do not have significant expression differences from non-brain related genes, but both are different from non-disease associated genes with marginal significance.
The biological process "telomere maintenance" (with p = 0.14336, a marginal significance if we consider a liberal threshold of 0.15) is quite general but clearly accounts for the immortalization of the cancer cells.
Pairwise comparisons suggested modest shifts in the tongue ( q = 0.0795), lung ( q = 0.054), and stomach ( q = 0.078) microbiota of the CP group relative to the control group, although these differences reached only marginal significance ( q < 0.1).
While no significant change in the sTNFR1concentration was determined, a marginal significance was observed in the NGAL level in the probiotic - consuming group thanthecontrol group. 59 Jiang et.al investigated the effect of a probiotic mixture of B.bifidum (1.2 × 10 9 CFU), L.acidophilus (4.2 × 10 9 CFU), S.thermophiles (4.3 × 10 9 CFU) on 76 DN patients with T2D after 12 weeks of probiotic administration.

The results indicate higher odds of depression, anxiety, and stress among participants who agreed that WhatsApp use in work-settings could be stressful and those who agreed it could affect relationships with colleagues, friends, and family members (P values of <0.05); however, the association between depression and agreeing that the use of WhatsApp for work-related purposes was stressful reached a marginal significance level (P value of 0.08).

Marginal significance (approximately at the 10% level), as observed in variables such as Input and Open, is interpreted as offering preliminary statistical support for directional effects and trends.
CCA indicated that grazing pressure, latitude, nitrogen concentration, clay content, and soil pH were among the variables that influenced the vegetation patterns of depressions, while longitude and soil carbon content showed marginal significance in explaining the observed floristic variation.
