The estimator maintained marginal significance and increased in magnitude (+0.072 cases per 100 FTs, p value = 0.10) within analyses including only industries with high proportions of insured workers (>75%) but disappeared in analyses including only industries with low proportions of insured employees (+0.024 cases per 100 FTs, p value = 0.38) ( Table 3 , Fig. 3 ).
This inversed relationship between high TmS and improved survival can be appreciated across all patients with TNBC in METABRIC with marginal significance ( n = 214, HR = 0.7, 95% CI: 0.44, 1.12, log-rank P = 0.1; Fig. 4i and Supplementary Table 7 ), likely reflecting that most of these patients received systemic therapy.
We then examined multiple linear regression models to determine whether race was associated with HbA 1c level after adjustment for variables that were found to differ by race in the bivariate analyses at a P value of at least marginal significance ( P < 0.10).

Interactions were decomposed at three levels of the moderator – low (−1 SD), average (0 SD), and high (+1 SD) – only when the interaction term reached marginal significance (i.e., p < 0.10; Hayes 2022 ).

Variables showing associations with a p -value < 0.05 and with marginal significance in the univariable analysis ( p -value < 0.1) were entered into the multivariable model.
However, given that most other measures showed no such interaction and this effect only reached marginal significance (p < .1), we are inclined to treat this finding as statistically unreliable, though future research may help clarify whether a genuine interaction exists.
The analyses also revealed some enriched terms with marginal significance, involved in biological adhesion, pattern specification, embryonic morphogenesis, appendage development and limb development ( P <0.1).
In all cases, the significance level was set at p < 0.05, and the marginal significance was set at p < 0.1.
Our results about RFI shows that four studies with a marginal significance ( P = 0.10, I 2 = 0%) recorded RFI, which means that UTI treatment could protect renal function in CPB patients, this finding is consistent with a retrospective study [ 52 ]. previous studies [ 53 , 54 ] proved that the systematic inflammatory response syndrome in CPB plays a vital role in the development of RFI, and other studies had found a correlation between UTI treatment and multiple organ function protection [ 55 ].
We observed non-significant time trends of prevalence in both overall and stratified populations (linear, quadratic, cubic trends: all P > 0.05) despite of some marginal significance (0.05< P <0.1).
While occupation approached marginal significance (F = 1.64, p = 0.103), education level (F = 0.57) and species preference (F = 0.38) proved irrelevant (both p > 0.05).

As found for incongruent-same trials, the alignment × experiment interaction failed to reach at least marginal significance ( F (1,82) = 2.63, p = 0.109), which means that flatter alignment slopes of incongruent trials in Experiment 2 compared to Experiment 1 could not be confirmed at any significance level with the given sample size, neither with incongruent-same trials (see Fig. 6 ), nor with all incongruent trials (see Figs. 4 and 5 ).
