This striking decrease is highly significant (P < 10 −15 by the Wilcoxon rank sum test), and more than twice that observed for any other amino acid.
As previously noted, a larger proportion of pairs have a TMRCA under 8 months in Sheffield relative to London (24% versus 4%), and overall the London pairs have an average TMRCA of 4.4 years compared to 1.5 years for the Sheffield pairs, with the difference being highly significant (KWT, P < 1 × 10 −15 ).

We find a highly significant negative correlation between the two measures (linear regression: R 2 =0.34, P <10 –15 ), which is illustrated in Fig. 4 .
We have to reject the null hypothesis and this result is highly significant ( p < 10 −15 ).
Log-rank tests of both the P cohort versus the p cohort and the P cohort versus all deaths showed highly significant differences ( P <10 −15 and P <10 −6 , respectively), and the p cohort is also significantly different ( P =10 −3 ) from the cohort of all deaths.
The difference in LAMconcentration between the cases and controls was highly significant [ P < 1 × 10 −15 , n = 101, Wilcoxon signed-rank test; difference in location estimate, −247.318; 95% confidence interval (CI), −351.3 to 200.8; Fig. 3 ].

We also found that the interaction term was highly significant ( P < 10 −15 ), indicating that the effect of the HULK genes on flowering time was non-additive (i.e. epistasis was apparent).
4 ), and this difference is highly significant (Wilcoxon rank-sum test, P < 10 − 15 ).
