All correlations were highly significant ( p -value < 2.2 × 10 −16 ), implying that site-specific PTM changes are consistently associated with deviations in protein abundance that cannot be explained by RNA-level changes alone ( Figure 7 b).
Monthly differences were highly significant (Kruskal–Wallis p < 2.2 × 10 −16 ), and this factor exhibited the strongest seasonal component among the three, with a seasonal strength of 33.77%.
Lastly, we compared the average TE ages between SUO and SLO genes in human and revealed a highly significant difference (p<2.2e-16, Wilcoxon Rank Sum test), with the former at 16.1% and the latter at 21.3% sequence divergence from their consensus sequences (For reference, 16–18% of unconstrained nucleotides have been substituted since the split of primates from other mammalian orders [32] ).
eTable 3 shows the results in a model quadratic in time and confirms highly significant differences in cannabis use by ethnicity (from β estimate = 1.67 (95% CI 1.45–1.89), P < 2.2 × 10 –16 ; quadratic superior to linear model, ANOVA F = 2.147, df = 13, P = 0.019). eFigure 5 shows that high intensity cannabis use is falling amongst teenagers, but rising in older age groups. eFigure 6 confirms these age-dependent trends in the first trimester of pregnancy which shows more cannabis use than later trimesters. eFigure 7 has been drawn from CDC birth data and confirms the trend of childbirth to be occurring at older maternal ages.
The model revealed highly significant main effects of total body length (log 10 TBL) ( F = 3335.41, p < 2.2e‐16), indicating that mandible length strongly and predictably scales with overall body size.
Using a pairwise comparison of 5286 genes with adjP ≤ 0.1 for log fold change of WT MR versus WT Con and NRF2 KO MR versus NRF2 KO Con, the correlation of the effect of MR in the two genotypes was highly significant (R 2 = 0.64, p < 2.2 × 10 −16 , Supplementary Figure S2 ).

2d and e ) and the Pearson correlation of these DNAm changes is highly significant ( p < 2.2 × 10 −16 ).
Transcripts that lose m6A during differentiation show highly significant increase in TE in glioblastoma samples irrespective of subtype (GSC1: p<2.2e-16, GSC2: p<3.4e-11, GSC3: p<2.2e-16) (Fig B in S1 Text ).

For the 241 significantly differentially accessible regions there was a highly significant enrichment at regions marked as enhancers, compared to ‘All peaks’ ( p < 2.2 x 10 −16 ) or the genome-wide distribution ( p < 2.2 x 10 −16 ) of the chromatin state ( Figure 1d ).
Pearson's Chi-square test indicates that this difference is highly significant (p-value <2.2e-16).
Of note, we observed moderate, but highly significant ( P = 2.2 × 10 −16 , Wilcoxon rank sum test) differences in the methylation levels of genomic features between lung, breast muscle and sperm samples (Fig. 2a ).
Differences between delta delta G are highly significant (wilcoxon test, p-value<2.2 e −16 ) except for the comparison between bin 6 and 7 and bin 7 and 8.
Bartlett’s test of sphericity was highly significant (χ2 = 362.49, df = 11, p < 2.2 × 10 −16 ), confirming that the correlation matrix was not an identity matrix and that the dataset had sufficient inter-variable relationships for factor analysis.
239.3 cm) compared to Sb, and in both cases differences resulted highly significant ( p = 2.2×10 −16 and p = 2.7×10 −15 for MAT and PH, respectively).
