A test group of 25 patients was used to validate the CNN qualitatively and quantitatively with 5 different image sets per patient: 4 min/bed position, 1.5 min/bed position with and without CNN, and 1 min/bed position with and without CNN. Results Difference in hotspot maximum or peak standardized uptake value between the standard 1.5 min and 1.5 min CNN images fell short of significance.
On the within-person level, the pattern of significance of results in the additional analysis was identical to the main analysis with one exception: The effect of problem solving on self-regulation effort fell short of significance in our main analysis but was significant in the additional analysis (compare Supplementary Table 1 ).
The significant association of pemphigus with esophageal (adjusted OR = 3.8; 95% CI = 1.2–12.3) and laryngeal (adjusted OR = 2.1; 95% CI = 1.0–4.3) cancer and chronic leukemia (adjusted OR = 2.0; 95% CI = 1.1–3.7) persisted, whereas the associations with multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma fell short of significance ( Kridin et al., 2018c , 2018d ).

Positive oestrogen recep- tor status has previously been shown to associate with low histological grade (McCarty et al., 1980; Hawkins et al., 1987) but correlations with tumour size are not well recog- nised: in the current series the correlation between oestrogen receptor status and tumour grade fell short of significance, but there was a significant association between positive oest- rogen receptor status and smaller tumour size (data not shown).
Analysis of the primary outcome measure revealed that supplementation with NEM® produced an absolute rate of response that was significantly better (ranging from 10.3% to 26.6% improvement) than placebo at all time points for both pain and stiffness, but fell short of significance for function and overall WOMAC, despite improving by 8.8% to 15.5% (see Table 2 ).
However, analyses did show that for those with more history of childhood trauma, MBCT made a significant difference: The hazard ratio of relapse for patients receiving MBCT was 0.43 relative to those receiving TAU alone, though in this model, the contrast between MBCT and CPE fell short of significance (see below).
