After 24 weeks of treatment serum CK levels of Sgca CTR mice were 6.3 times higher than the WT levels and A438079 led to a serum CK decrease in the treated mice, although it did not reach statistical significance, likely due to increased variability of the measurements (mean value of WT mice: 829 UI/l, n = 12; mean value of Sgca CTR mice: 5235 UI/l, n = 10, p < 0.05).
Cross‐validation of these results (5‐fold, 10‐fold, and leave‐one‐out) did not reach statistical significance, with the exception of SAS in the 5‐fold and leave‐one‐out designs (5‐fold: R = 0.26, p = 0.05; 10‐fold: R = 0.25, p = 0.06; leave‐one‐out: R = 0.26, p = 0.04; all other p ‐values > 0.1).
In addition, the increase of FEV 1 was higher in patients with bronchial wall thickening, although this did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.05) ( Figure 4A – E ).
Higher survival was also seen in resection (n = 28; low‐ vs high‐NLR; median OS 36.4 vs 42.4 months; P = 0.83) and IO (n = 16; low‐ vs high‐NLR; median OS 33.1 vs 10.7 months; P = 0.0674), although this did not reach statistical significance. 3.7 Liver status and NLR Patients with Child‐Pugh A disease had higher median ALC ( P < 0.05), whereas patients with Child‐Pugh B/C disease had higher comorbidity indices (median 10.0 vs 6.5, P < 0.0001), MELD scores (13.0 vs 7.0, P < 0.0001), and higher rates of cirrhosis ( P < 0.05).
There was a trend towards the transition period being more stressful for patients who attend at least two other hospital specialists, and for those without any affected family members, but this did not reach statistical significance (fisher exact value 0.0613 in both cases, significant at p <0.05).
