The proximate study investigated the role of genetic variants of ZFHX3 (zinc finger homeobox 3) in AF, single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) rs2106261 and rs6499600 showed significant associations, and rs16971436 conferred a borderline significant association with risk of AF in Chinese Han populations [ 13 ].
Familial longevity is significantly associated with the genetic risk score in the analysis with aggregated data from the two generations at the 0.05 level ( p -value 0.020) but did not reach statistical significance in either generation alone, although the association was borderline significant in the offspring with a p -value of 0.057.
When the analysis was stratified by BMI categories, l -arginine intakes were strongly associated with serum NOx levels in overweight and obese subjects who were in the upper quartile (β = 7.6, 95% CI = 4.2, 11.0 and β = 8.1, 95% CI = 5.6, 14.0, in overweight and obese subjects, respectively); a borderline significant association was observed between l -arginine intake and serum NOx concentrations in young adults and normal weight subjects.
Cause-specific Cox models with TRM and relapse as competing events indicated that age 60 or over, infusion of less than 4.6 × 106/kg CD34+ stem cells, and the absence of a CR before ASCT were borderline significant adverse prognostic factor for TRM ( Table 3 ), whereas no prognostic factors were found for the risk of disease progression—probably because of the very small number of events.
We found that increasing age was associated with a lower likelihood of face mask acceptability, both when evaluating age as a continuous variable (unadjusted OR (uOR) for each additional year of age: 0.98 (95% CI 0.97–0.99) p = 0.0050, adjusted OR (aOR): 0.98 (95% CI 0.96–1.00), p = 0.0218) and as categories (aOR for 35–64 years compared to 18–34 years: 0.30 (0.13–0.61) p = 0.0016; aOR for ≥ 65 years compared to 18–34 years: 0.38 (0.14–1.02) p = 0.0619 (borderline significant)).
In terms of outcomes, patients with sports traumas were more likely to display greater total CS (97.26 ± 4.49 versus 94.86 ± 6.54, p = 0.0394), with strength ( p = 0.0613) subscale exhibiting greater scores in a statistically borderline significant fashion ( Supplementary Table S1 ). 3.2.
