Consistent with our findings, Garduão-Garcia, studying a sample of 3,148 Hispanics, reported an association between TSH values and HOMA-IR, with borderline significance ( 47 ).

At 7 years, an increase in the risk of asthma in the LGG group compared with placebo group was observed; however, this difference was of a borderline significance (RR 3.51 (1.00, 12.30)).

Furthermore, XOR inhibitor use was shown to be significantly associated with reduced risk of low muscle mass and low physical performance, while a borderline significance with low muscle strength was also found ( Table 2 ).

There was a borderline significance of TPT completion by pregnancy status, where pregnant females were associated with lower completion rate compared to their non-pregnant female counterparts (aPR [95%CI] = 0.96 [0.93, 0.99] and P value = 0.043) ( Table 3 ).

Lastly, improvements in 25(OH) vitamin D levels were noted only in the pre-DM group, with borderline significance ( p -value 0.05).

Although the grey matter volume in the globus pallidus ( r = -0.71, p < 0.001) and parahippocampal gyry ( r = -0.63, p < 0.05) correlated with a STM binding task in the MCI group, only the former remained associated with STM binding deficits in MCI patients, after correcting for age, gender and years of education (β = -0.56, P = 0.042) although with borderline significance.

There were significant interaction effects of DHFR genotype (‘ del/del ’, ‘ del/ins ’ and ‘ ins/ins ’) for changes in Clinical Dementia Rating scale-global score (ΔCDR-global) and CDR-sum of boxes score (ΔCDR-SOB) and for Δexecutive function Z -scores with borderline significance ( P interaction = 0.017, 0.014 and 0.052, respectively; data not shown).

When specific types of metastases were analysed, high cyclin E predicted the risk of distant metastases with borderline significance on multivariate analysis whereas both overexpressed cyclin E and the younger age of patients were independent risk factors for visceral relapse.

The class of biologics (HR: 2.11, 95% CI: 0.96–4.63, P = 0.064) showed only borderline significance.

Sequential logistic regression models were employed to assess the association between SA and inflammatory variables that showed significant or borderline significance in the bivariate correlation analyses ( Table 4 ).

In multivariable models among e‐cigarette users, the increase in systolic and diastolic BP and mean arterial pressure remained significantly higher in “clear” e‐cigarette users compared with non‐“clear” flavored e‐cigarette users with borderline significance for HR when adjusting for age, sex, frequency of combustible cigarette use, and number of puffs used in the acute use sessions (Table 3 ).

Univariate Cox regression analyses showed that higher level of glycogen degradation (P = 0.001) was significantly associated with poorer OS, while glycogen biosynthesis (P = 0.11) with borderline significance.

The mixed model applied showed that combination therapy with nebulized colistin and continuous cyclic azithromycin attained an estimated mean reduction in ECOPD of 38.3% with respect to baseline after 24 months ( Figure 2 ), and parallel reductions in hospitalizations and hospital stays of up to 41.5% and 41.9% respectively ( Figures 3 and 4 ).The data of the fixed effects of the model applied for ECOPD, hospitalizations and days of hospital stay are detailed in Tables 3 – 5 ; they reached statistical significance for ECOPD frequency, and borderline significance for hospitalizations due to respiratory disease.

The borderline significance of MELD score in our logistic model underscores its central role in prognostication; each additional point increased 30-day mortality risk by 3%, consistent with established scoring systems [ 26 ].

Effects on parenchymal reactivity on MRI may have been partially mediated by effects on the middle cerebral artery, but with only borderline significance ( supplemental table 4 ).

It was found that the statistical association between living within the proximity of 1 km from a poultry farm and the overall oropharyngeal microbiota composition is on the borderline significance.

Osteopontin and VAT were also associated with BMD with borderline significance.

Borderline significance was observed between LS BMD of -1997GG homozygotes and carriers of the T allele (GT+TT).

In particular, the CHA2DS2-VA score stood out as an independent marker for non-regression, while thrombus size showed borderline significance in terms of non-regression; on the other hand, both thrombus size and CHA2DS2-VA were found to be significantly associated for 1-year MACE.

Furthermore, the use of a liberal P < 0.1 threshold for variable selection into the multivariate model may have introduced false-positive associations, particularly for variables with borderline significance such as PCV13 vaccination status and ICS use. 5 Conclusion Sp is the most common pathogen in the lower respiratory tract of children with PBB in China, in contrast with Hi in high-income regions.

Borderline significance was observed for the impact made by social environments, and age was not a significant predictor of tobacco consumption.
