With a borderline significance (P = 0.04), possibly because of our relatively small sample size, it remains to be concluded whether early natural exposure could also negatively influence vaccine seroconversion as previously observed in South Africa and Nicaragua [ 22 , 27 , 43 ].
This analysis delivered a borderline significance (coeff = 0.32, p = 0.04).
Alleles -403 G and -28 C were more transmitted to the affected offspring with borderline significance ( P = 0.04 and P = 0.06 respectively) (Table 2 ).

With regards to mRNA (as assessed by real-time PCR), the percentage of IFN-γ was slightly higher in the TB group ( n = 22) than in the controls ( n = 16) with borderline significance (5859- vs. 4270-fold increase compared to negative control, p = 0.040), whereas the percentage of IL-17 was significantly lower in the TB group (2584- vs. 20641-fold increase, p < 0.001) (Fig. 2 ).
Results The T allele of rs12255372 showed an association with borderline significance (OR = 1.19, 95% C.I. = 1.01-1.42, P = 0.04), and the Cochran-Armitage test for trend revealed an allele dose-dependent association of rs12255372 with BC risk ( P trend = 0.04).
Functional Outcomes On univariable analysis, 2 of 14 covariates investigated were found to be statistically significantly associated with final vision ( Table 2 ), including hypertension, which appeared to have a protective association with borderline significance (median, 73.0%; IQR, 42.1%-83.0%; P = .04) and presenting vision, where eyes with higher preoperative VA achieved a higher final VA postoperatively (0.62 logMAR worse final vision; 95% CI, 0.39-0.84 per 1.0 logMAR worse VA at baseline; P < .001) ( Figure 3 ).
A rare CRHR2 variant (rs3779250-risk allele-C) has been reported in Japanese patients with MDD [ 21 ], and a previous study in Belgium reported an MDD-risk variant with borderline significance ( p = 0.04) [ 54 ].
