The PLS-DA model that divided ALS patients into groups according to disease progression showed that the model to explain weight variation was at the limit of significance (pCV-ANOVA = 0.07; Supplementary Figure S2A ).

After stratification based on main indication for surgery: AVS, aortic regurgitation (AR) or ascending aortic dilatation (AAD) without AR, the overall trend for the differences in pre-operative CAVI between the groups was at the limit of significance ( Table 2 ), despite a significant age difference.
Improvements were achieved in personal and social responsibility (although the latter was at the limit of significance); these results are in line with many works which already contributed to the school environment in PE field [ 51 , 64 , 65 ], in addition to recent work covering other subjects apart from PE, such as those of Manzano and Valero-Valenzuela [ 53 ] and Manzano-Sánchez and Valero-Valenzuela [ 54 ], with increases in social and/or social responsibility in relation to groups that did not receive this kind of methodology.
The minor P3 QTL was at the limit of significance when the 93 sub-sampled individuals were used, suggesting that the reduced sample size prevented the detection of this minor QTL.
In contrast, both parameters appeared to be increased in the KO mice under an iron rich diet, despite being at the limit of significance, consistent once again with the micro-CT data Evaluation of the correlation between N.Oc/B.Ar relatively to Tb.N, Tb.Sp and SMI showed a statistical significant linear correlation between N.Oc/B.Ar and Tb.N (p<0.0014), Tb.Sp (p<0.0150) and SMI (p<0.0280), with negative correlation for Tb.N and positive correlation to Tb.Sp and SMI, ( Fig 6B ).
In addition, eiF2β, which was found in the PP1c interactome in this study but at the limit of significance and also in a recent report [ 15 ], was confirmed as a direct interactor of PP1c both in mammals and in Plasmodium [ 28 , 29 ].
In fact, in the latter case we are at the limit of significance, and this is probably due to the low sample size.
The prevalence of autoimmune diseases seems to be lower in the pediatric population compared with adults, as expected, and this tended to be associated with shorter diagnostic delay, though at the limit of significance.
The results remained still at the limit of significance after adjustment for age at diagnosis, alcohol consumption, menopausal status and baseline SF level, when comparing women having one or two pregnancies to women having no pregnancy ( P = 0.058).
This discrepancy with the previous literature may be a statistical phenomenon due to the sample size, since the correlations between marital status and social support are at the limit of significance, and it is possible that, with a larger sample, the previous results were corroborated.
The tumor regression grade (major vs minor responders) was at the limit of significance only with univariate analysis.

Patients with CSF flow at the CCJ before surgery (0–2 points at CSF flow score, Table 1 ) tend to have a higher probability (OR = 4.75, IC 95% 0.95–23.85, at the limit of significance) of post-surgical improvement than patients with absent CSF flow at the CCJ (3 points at the CSF flow score, Table 1 ).
However, meta-analyses suggest excess mortality with Cuprophan membranes, at the limit of significance.
With the current data, authors suggest that lutein could be the responsible molecule for the different anti-mutagenic activity of two varieties, as although lutein is not genotoxic, it is at the limit of significance.
This finding is not consistent with Lehmann's results showing a pan-PI3K inhibitor and a dual PI3K/mTOR inhibitor to be more effective in LAR CDX than bicalutamide in two cell-line models: bicalutamide slowed growth at the limit of significance, but the PI3K inhibitor appeared to be more effective both alone and in combination with bicalutamide 13 , and several clinical trials of combination therapy for AR + TNBC are currently underway ( NCT02457910 , NCT03207529 ).
The adjusted OR for GSTP1 (OR = 6.0, 95% CI [0.72–49.83]) showed the CI included unity and the p = 0.047 at the limit of significance (Table 2 ), we may attribute this effect to variability in data that could affect its distribution.
We found an association of outdoor levels of heavy oil combustion with two of the outcomes, but chance could not be excluded due to the p -values at the limit of significance and the lack of association with indoor levels or with Ni and V, the main elements defining this source.
