Post-Hoc Exploratory Models Because the interaction between speech RSA and effortful control approached significance ( p =.053), we probed the interaction to provide additional information about the pattern of simple slopes for future studies with larger samples.
The group main effect approached significance ( F (1,39) = 4.0, p = 0.053) with a tendency for children with dyslexia to make more errors (15.6%) than control readers (10.9%).
Planned paired-samples t -test demonstrated that the decrease in the pAUC specifically occurred between NL and LL blocks [ t (84) = 3.90, p < 0.001] but approached significance between LL and HL blocks [ t (84) = 1.96, p = 0.053].

The effect of the interaction between mental stress and eating pattern on unadjusted ΔBMI approached significance on 2-way ANOVA (F = 3.76; degrees of freedom: 1, 1076; P = 0.053); however, the effect on ΔBMI after adjustment for essential factors (F = 4.90, P = 0.03) and after further adjustment for energy intake (F = 4.91, P = 0.03) were both significant on ANCOVA.
In patients treated between 6 and 24 hours after onset, the predictive value of CTP approached significance (p = 0.053; AUC = 0.70, 95% CI: 0.51–0.88), whereas ASPECTS demonstrated greater prognostic accuracy in this subgroup (AUC = 0.57, 95% CI: 0.37–0.77; Figure 3 ).
