The main findings for our study included the following: (a) there was a training effect, but no effect of supplementation, for increases in TBMM, strength (i.e., IMTP, 3-RM squat, 3-RM bench press), vastus lateralis muscle thickness, and type I and II fiber CSA, type I and II fiber myonuclear number (b) WPC and WPH, but not LEU or PLA, significantly increased satellite cell counts, and increases in the SPC group approached significance, and (c) there was a time/training effect for decrements in SQ fat cell size ( p = 0.001).

DQA1*05:05 carriage approached significance for endoscopic remission at the Week 52 timepoint in SERENE UC (odds ratio 0.545, p = 0.005), and the allele had a consistent direction of effect, lowering the odds of a patient being in remission, in all tests except clinical remission in the smallest cohort (SERENE CD, Week 56: 153 patients).
