This group exhibited no systematic changes of corticomotor excitability across training ( Figure 2B and Figure 2—figure supplements 2 and 3 ) and mixed effects models revealed no significant neurofeedback type x block number interactions on any of the separate testing sessions in the control group (all p > 0.06, note that statistics approached significance for the second session because MEPs were randomly higher in the DOWN than in the UP condition; see Figure 2—figure supplement 1 for further details).
SREBP1 , a cholesterol biosynthesis regulator, was significantly upregulated in pluripotent SI-187 cells compared to one control and approached significance to the second control line; a finding consistent with overt cholesterol biosynthesis disruption in HD models (Valenza et al., 2007a , b ), patients (Markianos et al., 2008 ) and undifferentiated HD iPSC lines (Castiglioni et al., 2012 ).
Using a narrow sliding window to extract features (width of 25 ms, moving in steps of 10 ms) over the period 200 ms before to 1000 ms after stimulus onset, we found that the accuracy peaks higher and earlier in the younger subjects (Figure 1B ), but the contrast only approached significance with the current sample size.
None of our genome-wide significant SNPs were in regions that approached significance in a previous much smaller GWAS of SRH. 19 Sensitivity analyses showed that the polygenic profile score analyses for systolic blood pressure, coronary artery disease and type 2 diabetes were not confounded by individuals with the associated disease (hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus).

For the left IPL, further comparisons indicated that the activation during post-talk was significantly higher than that during the fat talk, and the difference from the pre-talk approached significance (−0.121 ± 0.219 vs. −0.147 ± 0.281 vs. 0.004 ± 0.389; t s > 2.264, P s < 0.027, Cohen’s d s > 0.277).
