The interaction between cue conditions and target conditions approached significance [ F (6336) = 2.225, P = 0.040].

Negative usability comments for the 4SQT approached significance ( W =4.1; P =.04; Table 1 ), but this result was not statistically significant.

In addition, the difference in CRP levels over time between the two groups approached significance ( P = 0.04).

The direct effect for caregiver fidelity approached significance ( p = 0.04), with an inverse association, but did not meet our conservative critical value of p ≤ 0.01.

No main effect for Retrieval-Status was found ( F (1,81) = 1.25, MSE = .03 η 2 p = .02, p = .268) but the Retrieval-Status x WMC interaction approached significance ( F (1,81) = 3.78, MSE = .08 η 2 p = .04, p = .055), indicating a trend toward the result observed in the full, more powerful analysis.

This between-treatment difference in OS approached significance in the PAS (median OS 180 vs. 83 days, respectively; HR 0.39; p = 0.042) ( Figure 5 ).

Egger’s regression test was nonsignificant (z = 1.76, p = 0.106), although Begg’s rank correlation test approached significance ( p = 0.042), suggesting the possibility of small-study effects.

Though only the usefulness of SL for social interaction approached significance ( P =.046) there was improvement across three of the four questions from baseline to follow-up.

The rate of increasing CDR-SB score reached or approached significance in the model comparing the HS-A group to all other groups (LATE-NC: 1.45, 95% CI [0.13, 2.74], p = 0.046; ADNC: 2.1, 95% CI [0.61, 3.5], p = 0.012; no pathology: 0.96, 95% CI [−0.041, 1.96], p = 0.093).
