Overall, PAD2 showed no significant changes, with a possible trend for reduced levels (albeit high variability was observed between samples, not reaching statistical significance, and one outlier was observed), and PAD4 protein levels were statistically significantly reduced in the hypoxia-challenged brains ( p = 0.0031), whereas PAD1, PAD3, and PAD6 levels showed an overall trend for elevation in the hypoxia-challenged brains (albeit not reaching statistical significance and with considerable individual variability observed).
