Patterns of Correlation between Genes and Metabolites Depend on the Experimental Condition and the Type of Metabolite While the above approach is adequate to reveal an overall trend for co-regulation of functionally related genes and metabolites, the nature of the co-regulation could vary depending on the experimental condition and the functional role of the metabolite involved.
There was an overall trend for higher difficulty in LBP group, with statistically significant differences observed (all in the condition without exoskeleton) for Free (2.7 ± 2.9 vs. 0.5 ± 1.0; p = 0.032), Free_ROT (2.8 ± 2.3 vs. 0.9 ± 1.4; p = 0.029), Free_AWAY (1.5 ± 2.0 vs. 0.7 ± 1.2; p = 0.042) and Stoop (3.3 ± 2.6 vs. 0.8 ± 1.1; p = 0.035).
With the exception of QTP, the profile trends of the other seven study areas are more consistent with the national ozone profile changes, showing an overall trend of being higher in the east and lower in the west, with the lowest overall OCC in QTP and the fastest increase in concentration at 5.8–9.6 km; in the remaining seven study areas, the overall OCCs of BTH and MLS were the highest and increased rapidly from 3 to 5.8 km, while those of COC, YRD, and PRD changed less, increasing only slightly from 3 to 5.8 km and decreasing slightly from 5.8 to 9.6 km; SCB changed less from 0 to 5.8 km and increased slightly from 5.8 to 12.4 km with altitude, and UCS increased from 0 to 9.6 km and decreased slightly from 9.6 to 12.4 km.
