Cox regression analyses revealed a significantly improved survival on a univariate level (HR=0.709, 95% CI: 0.535-0.939, p = = 0.016), as well as an almost significant impact in combination with the standard prognostic covariates age, FIGO stage and residual tumor burden (HR=0.736, 95% CI: 0.535-1.011, p = = 0.059).
A significant or almost significant change in the growth of non-injected B16-F10-OVA lesions and subsequent survival was observed in anti-CTLA-4+TT and anti-PD-1/CTLA-4+TT combinations only (at both 15 and 30 μg TT), when compared with either anti-CTLA-4+vehicle, anti-PD-1/CTLA-4+vehicle or IgG+TT-treated mice ( figure 7E, F ; online supplemental figure 13 ; “Non-injected” panels).
In contrast, reports of radon gas, external radiation exposure, and medical risk factor information for CSD in the cohort showed that the risk of CSD due to uranium particles exposure was almost significant after accounting for other factors [ 71 , 72 ].
Specifically, these results could be related to decreased amplitude of wave IV (an area that may represent MNTB processing) of the ABR in female Fmr1 KO mice (compared to female Fmr1 KO heterozygotes—almost significant compared to wild-type), however, further work directly linking mitochondrial issues to ABR phenotypes would need to be performed to validate this connection.
