The significant main effect of the factor adaptation group of Experiment 5 (saturation and brightness are both included) surprisingly revealed adaptation effects for both alteration conditions (i.e., increased and decreased)—although this result has to be questioned due to the almost significant interaction of color type and adaptation group and the low test power of this experiment.

Spearman correlation analysis of OF and EPM data-set further revealed that both software tools showed a high comparability, which was almost significant ( Supplementary Figures 7 , 9 ).
In particular, slightly more (and almost significant) specific activity was observed under cytokinin treatment ( Fig 2 , [ 49 ]) for ARR22 D74N , ARR22 D74E , and ARR22 D74A similar to what was observed for ARR7 D85N in transgenic plants [ 19 ].
The current approach of single-locus tests, possibly followed by a small-scale application of haplotype methods in candidate regions or regions where the single-SNP results are significant or almost significant may miss regions where a haplotype-based approach would find a signal.
When comparing the groups based on the occurrence of a heart failure event ( Table 4 ), we found a difference in the amount of time at heart failure risk and an almost significant p value in the chronic prescription of diuretics.
The reason for the removal was almost significant, and when looking at the different reasons the highest odds ratios were found for ‘multicausal including tooth decay’ and ‘periapical infection’.
Rather than calling it “almost significant,” describe it as non-significant and emphasize descriptive trends or practical meaning.

We only applied LMMs on the changes in BV and HbO 2 , because in Figure 2 , we found significant or almost significant differences in these two parameters between pre-TBS, cTBS, and iTBS.
For the ABR slow-rate results in the upper portion of Table 12 , only Wave I to III latency (significance in right ears; trend in the left) and Wave V amplitude (trends in both ears but almost significant in the left) had decreases in both ears.

It is worth mentioning that P -value is not negotiable e.g., P = 0.051 cannot be expressed as “near to significance” or “almost significant“” There is a dichotomized decision as to whether it is “significant” or “not significant.” Expression of P -value Owing to the availability of statistical software's, the exact P -value can be determined to many places of decimal, but it is prudent to express the P -value up to 3 decimal places, e.g., P = 0.002.
