As for swimming (GLMM 7 ), we only found an almost significant tendency for water temperature, with the subjects swimming more with increased temperatures (likelihood ratio test: χ 2 = 20.500, df = 14, p < 0.05; water temperature: estimate = 0.064 ± 0.033, z value = 1.89, p = 0.06: Table S1 ).
