Although the impact of EPB on stroke was only significant in LAS and CES, we found that EPB infants also had an elevated risk of overall stroke (p= 0.095) and AIS (p= 0.083) that almost reached statistical significance, suggesting that EPB may have a broad effect on stroke later in life.
PCBs 194 and 199 remained significantly associated with TSH levels after adjustment for multiple hypothesis testing (PCB-194: β = 0.12; 95% CI, 0.01 to 0.24; PCB-199: β = 0.14; 95% CI, 0.02 to 0.25), whereas PCBs 101, 183, and 187 almost reached statistical significance (PCB-101: β = 0.09; 95% CI, −0.01 to 0.18; PCB-183: β = 0.13; 95% CI, −0.01 to 0.23; PCB-187: β = 0.09; 95% CI, −0.01 to 0.20).
As a consequence of lockdown, most children spent their time indoors, leading to video game playing on smartphones and in turn to the overstimulation of accommodation, which increases the risk of myopia.[ 22 ] Rapid progression of myopia was found more in children older than 10 year of age, this difference almost reached statistical significance in bivariate analysis (0.057).
However, although we failed to find a relationship between compliance with any particular guideline and vaccine uptake, using FFP2 or FFP3 as the only mask almost reached statistical significance, a behavior that could result from considerations of both personal and societal health benefits [ 37 ].
The negative association between PAPP-A concentrations and gestational hypertension, as observed in other studies ( 13, 19 ), almost reached statistical significance in our study (presumably the reason that it did not was due to insufficient statistical power in the lower number of pregnancies studied).
