A trend toward significance (nominal p -value = 0.008) was also observed in the fifth platform (OAA) ( Figure 5A ).

None of the 11 CpGs significantly associated with ESKD incidence in FinnDiane were significantly associated in EDC; however, cg10473623, which had a suggestive protective association with ESKD in FinnDiane, was similarly protective in EDC with a trend toward significance ( P = 0.009).

Subsequent non-parametric Steel’s multiple comparisons indicated that SP10 significantly increased the measured values relative to the control group ( p = 0.0098, 95% CI [0.80 to 5.70], Cliff’s delta = 1.0), whereas Roxadustat also showed an elevation with a trend toward significance ( p = 0.0098, 95% CI [0.80 to 3.60], Cliff’s delta = 1.0).

An interaction test revealed significant results for OS and showed a trend toward significance for PFS between primary tumor sidedness and the treatment arms in the respective study (OS: P = 0.01; PFS: P < 0.01); additionally, a significant interaction was observed between anti-EGFR and non-anti-EGFR treatment and PTS for both OS ( P < 0.010) and PFS ( P = 0.05).

In multivariate analysis performed based on variables with significant p values in univariate analysis (Table 2 ), age, stage, and molecular classification exhibited a trend toward significance for PFS ( p = 0.010, p = 0.009, and p = 0.039, respectively).

No significant correlation with the Verbal Communication domain was found, but a trend toward significance between Error in Delayed and Recall conditions and Verbal Communication emerged, r(112)=0.24, p= 0.01, and r(108)=0.21, p=0.03, respectively.

Anxiety (DASS), which exhibited a trend toward significance in the full model, became a significant predictor within the clinical group (b = −1.06, t (51) = −2.649, p = .011).

Following Bonferroni correction for the cognitive performance family (adjusted α = 0.001), only the Stroop condition showed a trend toward significance (adjusted p = 0.012), while the combined (adjusted p = 0.052) and T-SAFT90 (adjusted p = 0.063) protocols did not survive correction.

Analysis revealed that mean MPT increased significantly between session 6 and session 11 (p = .003) with this increase maintained through session 15 and the three follow-up sessions; mean highest attainable pitch increased significantly between treatment sessions 6 and 11 (p = .004), and demonstrated a trend toward significance between sessions 6 and 15 (p = .017) with the increase maintained through the one-week and one-month follow-up sessions, but not at six months post treatment.

Regarding the cognitive screening there was a trend toward significance (p = 0,018).

As for secondary outcomes, patients on DA had a greater increase in AESs and a trend toward significance for a greater increase in AESc compared to patients on LD ( P = 0.019 and P = 0.060, respectively).

The acylpeptide hydrolase ( APEH ) SNP rs 4855881 showed a trend toward significance ( P =0.0199), but the P -value was still above the B–H criterion of 0.011 that we pre-specified as denoting significance.

High APOBEC3C expression remained significant in anaplastic astrocytoma and showed a trend toward significance in anaplastic oligodendroglioma even when the model was adjusted for age (p = 0.02 and p = 0.07, respectively) ( Table S12 ).

Particularly, we report ABCA7 p.G215S (rs72973581), that was the only low-frequency (MAF = 4.3%) missense variant showing a trend toward significance in the single-marker association test ( p -value = 0.02 and corrected p -value = 0.8) in the discovery set and was statistically significant after Bonferroni correction ( p -value = 6 × 10 −4 and corrected p -value = 0.024) in the combined data sets (discovery set and follow-up data set).

In the multivariable analysis, controlling for both female and male age, female age showed a trend toward significance (OR = 1.12, 95% CI: 1.02 - 1.23, p = 0.02), while male age showed no significant effect (OR = 0.99, 95% CI: 0.92 - 1.06, p = 0.75).
