Randomized and registry evidence supports the selective use of ECMO in severe respiratory failure: the CESAR trial showed improved survival without severe disability at 6 months in patients referred to an ECMO center; EOLIA, while underpowered for its primary endpoint, demonstrated a strong trend toward lower 60-day mortality with early VV-ECMO and permitted crossover rescue.
More stomach-content samples were available from winter than from the other seasons ( Figure 2 ), but the distribution of food types eaten by sandy inland mice did not differ between the seasons (χ 2 = 3.24, 6 df, p = 0.78) or boom-and-bust conditions (χ 2 = 5.94, 2 df, p = 0.051), although there was a strong trend for association in the latter test due to an increase in representation of invertebrates in the diet during busts ( Table 2 ).
In contrast, lung metastases grew slowest in mice treated with SAR405, with a strong trend toward reduced endpoint tumor burden in mice treated with SAR405 alone as compared to MBC-613, and the addition of SAR405 to MCB-613 restored efficacy to near levels observed for single-agent SAR405 ( Fig. 6 A and B ).
Although the efficacy of BP 897 in acute or subacute schizophrenic patients was not demonstrated in this study, probably related to a low dose not reaching therapeutic levels, there was a strong trend toward an antipsychotic effect dependent on plasma exposure, supporting the hypothesis that a D 3 receptor antagonist or partial agonist could exhibit antipsychotic properties.
