In the literature

In studies evaluating the cognitive effect of IFN β-1a relative to placebo, a class II RCT was conducted among 436 secondary-progressive MS patients, of which researchers of the IMPACT trial found a statistical trend of improvement (small effect: Cohen’s d = 0.20) on the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test (PASAT) over 2 years in the treatment group relative to the placebo group [ 17 ].
In contrast to prior findings, we did not observe a significant relationship between contrast sensitivity and subjective visual distortions in PSZ, r s = 0.03, p = .84; However, there was a statistical trend for High PLEs endorsing visual distortions (N = 22) to have poorer contrast sensitivity than those that did not (N = 27), though this difference was not significant, t(47) = − 1.94, p = .06, d = − .56.
However, there was a statistical trend toward higher frequency and MFI in CD3 + TILs expressing ICs in CMS1 (containing mainly MSI tumors) versus the other subgroups (significant for Tim-3 (Dunn’s multiple comparisons test, p = 0.0382) and TIGIT (Kruskal–Wallis test, p = 0.0446)) ( Figure S3A,B ).
469 In a separate small 6‐month placebo‐controlled trial, there was a statistical trend for lower relapse rates with fluoxetine compared to placebo. 503 Finally, a post hoc analysis of a large 12‐month placebo‐controlled trial found that response rates to fluoxetine were similar in BDII and MDD. 468 However, it did not report whether fluoxetine was superior to placebo in BDII.
